Apple AR headset with Zeiss expected hit the market this year

According to new rumors, Apple Augmented Reality(AR) headset which is already been confirmed by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, is expected to launch this year. Now, Robert Scoble also claims to have information about the headset.

Robert Scoble claimed:

A Zeiss employee at CES confirmed the rumors that Apple and Carl Zeiss AG are working on a light pair of augmented reality/mixed reality glasses that may be announced this year. (I thought it was next year but now that I saw this I believe it will happen this year).

Previously, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had said that the headset is believed to be powered by an iPhone. A 2017 release would pit the headset against Microsoft’s Windows Holographic initiative. We have to take this rumor with a pinch of salt.
