Update: Official free Windows 10 Creators Update ISO files are now available for download from the Microsoft website. Follow our guide and download Windows 10 version 1703. However, if you want to upgrade to Creators Update without losing any files, you will require Windows 10 Update Assistant tool. Get it from here.
Original Story: If you’re looking for official free Windows ISO for fresh installation or recovery, you can now download free Windows 10 ISO images (64 bit or 32 bit) from Microsoft’s official server. Currently, Microsoft is offering a direct link or Media Creation Tool (MCT) for ISO images.
Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool allows users to download Windows setup files or ISO image accordingly to their preference. However, everything is done in the background, and you don’t have control over the download process. Also, you cannot use third party download manager to pause and resume downloads. As a result, it could turn into a painful experience, if your internet connection is unreliable.
Today, we’ll cover both options for Windows 10 ISO downloads. First, we check out how to download ISO from Microsoft website directly. Then, we’ll show you how to download ISO with Media Creation Tool.
Let’s talk about direct download links. Microsoft Tech Bench website is offering ISO images for retailers and service providers to provide support for those upgrading to Windows 10, data migration services to help people move files from old PCs to new PCs. As the web page is public, everybody can use the Windows 10 Tech Bench Upgrade Program web page to generate download links directly.
Note that Windows 7/8/10 users may only see Media Creation Tool download page and no direct links to disk images. However, opening the link on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OS or any Linux will work. You can also try any mobile phone and it’ll not redirect.
