Facebook’s own PC Gaming Platform Coming

Facebook with Unity is launching PC gaming platform like Stream very soon. The Facebook PC gaming platform will focus on developers using the ubiquitous Unity game engine. The platform will allow Unity to publish directly to Facebook and the Facebook PC gaming platform.

Unity’s VP of business development, Elliot Solomon, “Integrating tools that provide effortless access to Facebook’s network is a key part of helping developers find the success they deserve,”

Unity engine is used in games like Firewatch, Kerbal Space Program, Ori and the Blind Forest, Superhot, Monument Valley and Alto’s Adventure. Most of the Unity games may join facebook gaming platform.

Facebook paid out over $2.5 billion to web-game devs last year, and there are over 650 million players on its gaming network. Facebook is testing the alpha version of its platform right now, users can apply before August 31st.
