A new version of the Google Phone app is now released for Nexus and Android One devices with built-in call spam warnings. The Phone app version 4.0 includes the call spam warning feature.
When a call comes in from a spammer, the screen shows a red banner and screen flash “suspected spam caller.” Users will have the option to block the number and report it as a spammer.
