Honor 8 update B389 brings 3D panorama mode and recycle bin

Honor has released a new software update B389 for Honor 8 in India. The new OTA update comes with new features and changes to the smartphone which includes a 3D panorama mode, recycle bin and more.

In addition, Honor 8 also getting a new security feature that requires users to enter their unlock screen pattern or password after every three days. Check out more details below.

What’s new in Honor 8 Software Update B389

  • Adds a 3D panorama mode in Camera, which enables you to take 3D dynamic images. Adds a recycle bin feature to Gallery, allowing you to retain deleted photos for up to 30 days. Accidentally deleted photos can be restored in “Recently deleted”. Adds a security procedure that requires you to enter your lock screen password every three days, helping you to remember your password. A new split-screen key on a Facebook instant message banner lets you enter split-screen mode with a single touch without leaving a video in full-screen viewing.
  • Optimizes the App twin feature to support logging in with two accounts for certain apps, such as Messenger. Optimizes the camera’s burst shooting stability. Optimizes the overall power consumption for extended use. Integrates Google security patches for improved system security.
  • This update will not erase your personal data, but we recommend that you back up any important data before updating.
  • If you experience any issues during the update, please call the Huawei customer service hotline in the warranty card or visit an authorized Huawei service center for assistance.

Software update B389 for Honor 8 smartphones will gradually release to everyone. You can also check manually for updates, go to Settings > About device > System update.

Make sure you have enough charge on your device at least 60% to 70% before downloading the update.
