Kodi app for Windows 10 brings Touch-friendly UI and other features

Kodi app for Windows 10 gets a new update version 17(code-named Krypton). However, it’s a release candidate and not a final version. The Kodi app now supports Touch-friendly user interface called Estouchy. There is now a new smart playlists option on the home screen, which automatically shows you what probably interests you the most. The update also includes other UI changes and improvements.

Kodi media center, formerly known as XBMC Media Center, is an award-winning free and open source cross-platform software media player and entertainment hub for digital media for HTPCs (Home theater PCs). It uses a 10-foot user interface designed to be a media player for the living-room, using a remote control as the primary input device.

Its graphical user interface (GUI) allows the user to easily browse and view videos, photos, podcasts, and music from a hard drive, optical disc, local network, and the internet using only a few buttons.

Kodi Version 2016.1229.1159.0:

This is the Kodi v17 release candidate which contains significant changes and improvements compared to Kodi v16. We’ll keep updating till we reach the final v17 and from that only the final releases will be added to the Windows Store.
