  1. Thanks for the informative page. Sorry for my ignorance, but I’d like to understand these two things:

    1. What exactly is the “Tile Re-sizing animation with Fade-in/out effect” and how does it work?

2.What was the removed “Share Wi-Fi feature”? I still have the Mobile hotspot, which I do use frequently.

    • 1. There is a minor(but new) fade-in/out animation while you re-size tiles.

      2. Wi-Fi Sense feature that allows you to share Wi-Fi networks with your contacts and to be automatically connected to networks shared by your contacts is now removed. It is different from Hotspot feature.

  2. this update seriously horrible :
    1. All apps Crash !!! even whatsapp.
    2. Some menu hang / not responding .
    3. Some notification still no sound.

now, looking android or iphone …..

    • I just did it recently…As longtime (>30y) MS enrhusiast it’s now just too crazy to see how every new upgrade takes away useful functionality and gives back minor ui changes. On desktop and mobile as well. Dsktop UI changes gives us back W7 again.
      Sent from Sony Xperia™ phone

      • I am not too sure which features was taken away but I have been using MS since Dos 3 and I am serious when saying that Windows 10 is just brilliant. Sometimes we do not want things to change and are happy with things the way they are. I still remember my frustration when Windows 95 came out and even more when Windows 98 came along and totally took over DOS. The simplest change triggered a reboot of the computer and everything needed drivers! Finally we saw Windows XP and I was hooked. VISTA was a bit buggy and resource hungry but I could see the potential which gave birth to Windows 7! Windows 8.1 I thought to be cool but nothing holds a candle to Windows 10 at the moment! It is that Windows 7 feeling all over again when it first came out.

        • I agree with You that W10 looks good. Specially after upgrade from 8.1. But I have never got so much trouble when updating to Anniversal Update. Just like it wasn’t never tested before sent over. I lost ability to connect to network printers, I lost ability to open remote desktop shortcuts from desktop, webcam issue, phone lost FM Radio functionality etc. So my point was that on marketing media everything looks great but not in reality. As I have another laptop to test things out, I can see they fixed for now the printer issue and there is a solution for remote desktop as well but this is the first time I refuse to install any updates from MS to my everyday PC. Even Windows ME upgrade worked better….

          • I agree on the FM Radio side of things and sorry to hear that it was not go all smooth sailing for you. It is pretty frustrating when things do not work anymore after an upgrade.Thankfully things went fine for me.

  3. I think MS is just awesome. Been using Android for many years before. It just makes sense if you are using a Microsoft computer and Xbox console. I liked the Kids Corner but there is still the Apps corner. 🙂 Cortana is just amazing and the voice recognition is superb even though I am South African. The price tag is just as good. It is the best phone I ever had and I welcome the new update. I love it having the full MS Office suit out of the box and I work extensively on One Note which I can access from anywhere. Connecting to Exchange is a breeze and now attachments work like they should to a reply e-mail! If you have an Apple computer then a MS phone won’t make sense – use iPhone. If you are making use of a Windows 10 pc then there is absolutely no reason not to use a MS phone. I will be lost without it.
