Pokémon Go released for iOS and Android

Pokémon Go game by Nintendo and developer Niantic Labs is now available on both iOS and Android. Right now, the game is released in selected countries only. The game uses your smartphone’s camera and sensors, to place pokémon in the real world. That way, as you travel around to landmarks and notable locations in your city, you can catch the creatures and then train and battle them at gyms.

Pokémon Go is a free app but you can buy game accessories for $0.99 to $99.99. You can also purchase a $35 wrist-worn wearable, coming out later this month. The wrist-worn wearable for Pokémon Go will let you play the game without having to unlock your phone.

Update: Game is now available to download in U. S.
