Tinder will not allow under-18 users

Tinder announced that it will not allow under-18 users on its dating app starting from next week. The company is changing its original policy that allowed teenagers above the ages of 13 to use its service. All under-18 account will be discontinued from next week.

Rosette Pambakian, Tinder’s VP of communications said:

“On a platform that has facilitated over 11 billion connections, we have the responsibility of constantly assessing our different user experiences. Consistent with this responsibility, we have decided to discontinue service for under 18 users.”

The company is losing only three percent of its global user base after these new changes. Tinder having been reviewing its policy on the matter since last year.
