Sony is now rolling out a new software update 47.1.A.8.49 for Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, and Xperia XZ Performance smartphones. This update includes latest Android December security patch.
The Android December security patch brings fixes for 61 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures discovered in the Android operating system. The firmware update also includes device stability improvements, bug fixes and further improvements for performance. Previously, update 47.1.A.5.51 was released.

Software update for 47.1.A.8.49 for Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, and Xperia XZ Performance smartphones will gradually release to everyone. You can also check manually for updates, go to Settings > About device > System update.
Make sure you have enough charge on your device at least 60% to 70% before downloading the update.
