Sony has released a new software update 34.3.A.0.238 for Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact smartphones. The update brings Android October security patches.
The Android October security patch fixes Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the open-source Android OS. The patch has now fixed an issue in media framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process. Additionally, the update also includes minor device stability and performance improvements.
