Sony is now rolling out a new software update 47.1.A.2.374 for Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact smartphones. The update comes with latest Android October security patch.
The Android October security patch fixed Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the open-source Android OS. The firmware update also includes device stability improvements, bug fixes and further improvements for performance.

Software update for 47.1.A.2.374 for Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact smartphones will gradually release to everyone. You can also check manually for updates, go to Settings > About device > System update.
Make sure you have enough charge on your device at least 60% to 70% before downloading the update.
