A new Above Snakes update released on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox one. According to the official Above Snakes patch notes, the latest update addresses some bugs and crashes.
Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Above Snakes patch will fix a few of these issues.

Above Snakes Patch Notes – June 29, 2023
New Features
- New Game Mode: Exploration Mode – Start a new game and choose the order of the story and the order of which biomes unlock!
- Upgrade Buildings – Instead of tearing a building down, you can use the hammer to upgrade each building part.
- Mountains biome (wildcard) – Unlock the mountains biome after discovering the trading post. Mountains fit everywhere and can be used to fill gaps.
- News Hub – Stay up to date with in-game Above Snakes news in the main menu.

- New world piece: Prairie / Corpse Creek.
- New world pieces: 2x Prairie / Canyons
Fixes
- Steam Deck: Items at merchants do not flow out of screen anymore.
- Storage chest: Added item details being shown.
- Projectile height is adjusted (aligns with weapon).
- Fixes translation for Ancient Key.
- Fixed that talking to the mayor was prohibited if Moonshine quest was not completed yet.
- Rework skeletons standing up during Mr. Jones quest.
- Fixed shown checkmarks for quests in quest dialogue when they are not cleared yet.
- Removed meteorite piece item from the game (had no purpose).
- Fixed that under certain circumstances Jeb did not provide The Hawk blueprint.
- Fixed that escaping the conversation with Bamey could lead to a soft lock.
- Fixed that Square Glade Club enrollment sometimes did not work and sometimes did not show Kickstarter rewards.
Balancing
- Patsy and Betsy quest is a little easier now.
