A new Beat Saber update 1.40.0 released on PC. According to the official Beat Saber patch notes, the latest update 1.40.0 addresses some bugs and crashes.
Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Beat Saber patch 1.40.0 will fix a few of these issues.

- Added: 17 Metallica iconic hits
- Added: Metallica themed environment with two distinct lighting styles – realistic lighting, which can be freely moved, and stylized lighting integrated into scaffolding and column support structures.
- Added: Main Menu Metallica takeover
- Added: Ability to override only lights / notes from default when selecting custom colors in the Colors Override
- Added: Variable Note Jump Speed
- Added: Controller Profiles in Settings
- Fixed: The Game will become stuck on an indefinite black screen after deleting the Player Data files then launching the application
- Fixed: Songs cannot be selected after player selects a song and the back button simultaneously in the “Favorites” or “All Songs” lists
- Fixed: Blur effect is visible on the spiral during “Scream and Shout (Will.I.AM)”
- Fixed: Player is able to Change their selected ‘Colors’ during the 5 Second Count Down while in Multiplayer
- Fixed: Player can become stuck in the Practice Mode for a song without being able to leave if they select the Practice button while the Results Screen is loading
