Cave Crawlers 0.722 Patch Notes – June 10, 2024
Items
- Added 2 backpacks (details not mentioned)
- Added Hero’s Sword (epic sword) obtainable by pulling it from a stone
- Added Brutal Basher (epic hammer) found in Crystal Caverns
- Added Crystal Necklace (rare trinket) found in Crystal Caverns
- Added Dynamite (rare consumable) replaces bombs after floor 10, more powerful
- Added spell “Remove Sword From Stone” learned from holding the “Sword in a Stone” weapon
- Updated Sword in a Stone description (attempt to remove sword, success = Hero’s Sword, fail = lose 1 HP, once per floor)
- Reworked Sharpened Hatchet talent (10% chance to reduce “Faster FASTER!” cooldown)
Offline Mode and Co-op Improvements
- Cave Crawlers can now be played offline (data stored locally, synced to cloud upon reconnection)
- Added Steam Cloud support (migrates data from PlayFab)
- Game codes now include region token (automatic region connection)
- Setting region in “Together” screen now saves
Environment
- Doubled goblin village size, increased goblin and loot spawns
- Updated loot pool under Goblin Tents
- Updated Abandoned Minecart Event Room (additional entrance, main pathway spawn chance adjusted)
Perks
- Added Hexagon perk Vital Vision (see mob health bars)
- Added Hexagon perk Healthy Gambler (increased health, chance of extra mob damage)
- Added Square perk Combat Cache (guaranteed weapon in first chest each floor)
- Added Circle perk Magic Beard Oil (scare foes with a beard!)
- Reflected projectiles from Return To Sender perk now damage mobs

- Added 5 new achievements

- Moved Torch expertise talents
- Reworked Safety Torch (no cooldown, 50% chance, ignites nearby mobs)
- Reworked Savior (revive speed buff until revive)
- Reduced Light The Way max points, increased dodge chance
- Reduced Inspiring Presence max points, increased health restored, removed cooldown, limited uses per floor
- Reduced Stay BACK! max points, increased weapon range
- Reduced Hulkanizer max points, increased damage, buff duration, cooldown increase
- Reduced Sear Armor max points, increased block chance
- Reduced Ring of Fire max points, increased weapon damage, proc chance
- Increased Torch Swinger max points
- Increased Get BACK! knockback
- Adjusted Torch and Bow tree connections
- Added Crusader talent (hammer expertise, reduces Holy Strike cooldown on crit)
- Adjusted Hammer expertise talent connections
- Changed Revenge (dagger) to strike up to 5 nearby mobs
