Dinkum update is now rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Dinkum patch notes, the latest update added quality of life improvements and gameplay optimizations.
Since the last patch, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Dinkum patch will fix a few of these issues.

Dinkum Patch Notes – October 29, 2024
New:
- A new NPC can visit your island and can craft new items!
- Added new decorations
- Added a new “fruit” to cook, eat and plant
- Added a new vehicle
Bug Fixes:
- Made a change to fog of war to improve performance when in the Hot Hot Hot
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to become buildings using the Impostor Ball
- Fixed a bug that prevented the weather being clear on special event days
- Island Reef Critters now appear in the ocean tank when displayed in the museum
- Fixed a bug that caused players to transform incorrectly when using Impostor Ball on a ladder
- Fixed a bug that occasionally caused clothing to not reappear correctly after a transformation
- Fixed a bug that limited the range of music from Boom Boxes
- John’s anniversary event will return to occurring on the first week of every new year
- Corner ramps can now be used on the advanced table saw
- Dev Inventory no longer requires holding C
