Fitbit’s Charge 2 and Flex 2 ‘swimproof’ activity-tracking wristbands unveiled

Fitbit launched the new Charge 2 and Flex 2 ‘swim proof’ activity-tracking wristband. The new tracker can track steps, distance traveled, calories burned, and sleep. Flex 2 has four tiny, color-coded LED lights instead of display. It doesn’t have optical heart rate sensors or GPS.

Fitbit’s Smart Track feature which automatically recognizes when you’ve started exercise activities. Flex 2 is Fitbit’s first ‘swim proof’ or waterproof activity tracker (up to 50 meters). Expected battery life is around five days. Fitbit Flex 2 will cost you $99.

New Fitbit Charge 2 features a larger display, a built-in GPS, smartphone music controls, and seven days battery life. Charge 2 display is still not touch-sensitive. Fitbit also launched Cardio Fitness with the Charge 2. The Fitbit Charge 2 assigns you a cardio score based on information like your age, gender, and weight, along with your heart rate levels during exercise. You can track your activity over iPhone or Android phones. Fitbit Charge 2 will cost you The Charge 2 costs $149.
