IfSunSets Update 0.4.0 Patch Notes – Dec. 19, 2024

A new IfSunSets update 0.4.0 released on PC. According to the official IfSunSets patch notes, the latest update 0.4.0 addresses some bugs and crashes.

Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s IfSunSets patch 0.4.0 will fix a few of these issues.

IfSunSets Patch 0.4.0 Notes – Dec. 19, 2024

■ Combat
  • Fixed an issue where the durability of trap doors in dungeons was set too low, deviating from intended design.
  • Fixed an issue in Night of the Undead where arrows were visible after resurrection.
  • Performed general combat optimizations.
  • Fixed an issue where attacking shark-type monsters with melee weapons sometimes didn’t register the attack.
  • Fixed an issue in the desert dungeon where doors intermittently opened automatically.
  • Fixed an issue where unnecessary visuals were displayed after skipping boss videos in single-player mode.
  • Fixed an issue where monster spawn and deletion in Castle Dungeon didn’t work properly.
  • Fixed an issue where the damage cycle for thorn vines was working abnormally.
  • Fixed an issue where certain objects didn’t register attacks with specific weapons.
  • Fixed an issue in Night of the Undead where the effect for summoned drowned bodies appeared floating in the air.
  • Fixed an issue where ranged weapon damage was exaggerated after using weapon skills.
  • Fixed an issue where certain areas of the Wriggling Boss encounter didn’t register attacks.
  • Added a respawn time information message after a boss monster is defeated.
■ Buildings
  • Fixed an issue where windows appeared distorted based on distance.
  • Fixed an issue where roof construction modules couldn’t be placed in certain environments.
  • Fixed an issue where collision detection for certain building modules wasn’t functioning correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where buildings constructed on top of pillars would float in the air after the pillars were destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue where wall-mounted torches were incorrectly placed inside specific walls.
  • Fixed an issue where there was a gap between wooden ceilings and stairs.
■ Environment
  • Fixed an issue where a desk in the desert dungeon wasn’t visible.
  • Fixed an issue where breaking various boxes on the map occasionally didn’t generate fragments.
  • Fixed broken graphic effects on coastal rocks.
  • Improved the appearance of gaps in the desert environment.
  • Fixed a graphical issue where some areas of the desert had broken floor textures.
  • Fixed an issue where trees looked distorted when entering the jungle.
  • Fixed an issue where collision detection on cliffs in the Witch’s Forest wasn’t functioning correctly.
■ General Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the Fairy Dash skill was usable while swimming.
  • Fixed an issue where item information occasionally displayed incorrectly at crafting stations.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking on materials at the workbench didn’t take the player to the correct crafting recipe.
  • Corrected the icon for the sugarcane item.
  • Fixed various translation issues in different languages.
  • Fixed an issue where the wooden arrow turret couldn’t be dismantled.
  • Fixed an issue where the mouse occasionally froze when looting monster corpses.
  • Fixed an issue where skill resets weren’t happening intermittently.
  • Fixed an issue where gaining proficiency with a chain shot increased proficiency with other weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where the Millet Seed was missing from the items sold by NPC Aiden.
  • Fixed an issue with the crafting image for the Pioneer Set.
  • Fixed an issue where combat music and general BGM overlapped occasionally.
  • Fixed an issue where the duplicate item feature in storage chests occasionally didn’t work.
  • Fixed an issue where certain quests could be completed infinitely often.
  • Fixed an issue where some UI text wasn’t displayed correctly on screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera distortion underwater was too intense.
  • Fixed an issue where gravestones and death markers didn’t match up underwater, making it difficult to find gravestones.
  • Fixed an issue where some UI text appeared too small.
  • Fixed an issue where some item tooltips showed incorrect values compared to actual effects.
  • Fixed an issue where changing modes using Ctrl + mouse wheel while interacting with a building hammer would mount the player’s mount.
  • Fixed an issue where high-level cooking skills weren’t applied correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the boss altar couldn’t be interacted with again after activation.
  • Fixed an inconvenience where items in the hotbar or equipment window had to be placed in the inventory to upgrade.
  • Fixed an issue where the maximum FPS was locked at 60 after changing graphics settings.
  • Improved the UI for displaying required points for fairy skills.
  • Fixed an issue where face customization settings weren’t saved when playing as a guest.
  • Fixed an issue where firearms didn’t work properly when the weapon’s durability was completely used up.
■ Multiplayer
  • Fixed an issue where the Soul Orbs from Night of the Undead remained in the world after playing multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where selecting fairy experience from Night of the dead rewards didn’t increase the fairy XP in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the participant list in the world didn’t update after a guest was forced out.
  • Fixed an issue where the green placement guides for buildings sometimes didn’t appear when trying to place buildings in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where a guest didn’t gain experience for monster kills made with traps they placed.
  • Fixed an issue where the interaction effect for items wasn’t removed when the opposing player picked up an item during interactions in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where Contaminated Water didn’t function properly in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where after dying in Night of the dead, players sometimes couldn’t move or switch viewpoints after resurrection when daylight arrived.
  • Fixed an issue where mini bosses appeared in day form instead of ghost form for guests in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where guests couldn’t properly use shared chests in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where monster corpses appeared as “pockets” in the guest environment.
  • Fixed an issue where the fairy appeared visible to the host even after being turned off for guests in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the host’s UI didn’t refresh properly if the host died and a guest left or disconnected during Night of the Undead.
  • Fixed an issue where the storage opening sound was duplicated when a guest opened it.
  • Fixed an issue where fire effects from flame weapons didn’t disappear in multiplayer.
