Apple iOS update 10.1 is now available. The latest update brings portrait photo mode for the iPhone 7 Plus. The update mostly includes few features and bug fixes for other iOS 10 devices. The portrait photo mode uses the 7 Plus’ dual cameras to take portraits with blurred-out backgrounds.
The portrait photo mode is in beta. The software seems to do a better job at blurring some backgrounds than others, sometimes creating an obviously-fake result with rough edges.
The update also brings fix for smartwatch problems. It fixes a problem that kept iTunes tracks from being stored on the Apple Watch. The update also improves Bluetooth connectivity with third-party accessories.
