MLB Rivals Version 2.09.00 Patch Notes – January 23, 2025

A new MLB Rivals update 2.09.00 released on PC. According to the official MLB Rivals patch notes, the latest update 2.09.00 addresses some bugs and crashes.

Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s MLB Rivals patch 2.09.00 will fix a few of these issues.

MLB Rivals Patch 2.09.00 Notes – Jan. 23, 2025

1. Moment Card

– Moment Cards, a new type of Special Card with various unique themes, will be added.

– Moment Cards feature players who excelled in specific records such as home runs, stolen bases, strikeouts, and ERA.

– Instead of a specific year, these cards display a unique emblem representing their theme.

 <Exclusive Gold Tier Skills>

– Moment Cards can obtain Exclusive Gold Tier Skills according to their theme.

– These exclusive skills can be obtained on the first skill slot at a certain rate when using Superior Skill Change Tickets.

– Once an Exclusive Gold Tier Skill is acquired, the first skill slot lock feature will activate.

– Moment Cards apply a permanent skill level protection effect for skill changes, ensuring their skill levels never drop.

– Exclusive Gold Tier Skills for Moment Cards are only available at S-level and will not appear in Position Training Level Bonus Effects.

 <Player Development>

– The maximum Training level for Moment Cards varies by theme.

– Additional Potential levels can be unlocked based on the theme when transcending a Moment Card.

– Limit Break, Transcendence, and Development Transfer (to be updated later) are only available between Moment Cards.

– Special Training for Moment Cards will be available up to level 5, with their Deck Score increasing from an initial 14 to a maximum of 24.

<Others>

– Moment Cards are not eligible for FA Contract or Rarity Boost.

– In the Reserve menu, Moment Cards are sorted in the following order:

* Signature → FA Signature → Moment → Prime → FA Prime → Impact → FA Impact → Live & Season.

2. New Moment Player Cards

– Three new Moment Card themes will be added.

– Moment Cards can be acquired through Moment Pack, [Theme] Moment Pack, and Moment Pick Up Scout.

– (Slugger) Team Selective Moment Pack and (Slugger) Moment Pack will be available in the Home Run Shop.

– [Setup Man] themed Moment player cards will be added.

– [Setup Man] themed Moment player cards can acquire Exclusive Gold Tier Skill, [Primary Setup].

3. Main Player Progression Content

– The new Main Player Progression content, where you can develop the Main Player selected during team creation up to a Signature Card, will be added.

– The Main Player selected during team creation will now be an Impact Card.

– Existing users can access the Main Player Progression menu and select one Impact Player Card out of four pre-selected cards to begin the progression.

– The card selected as the Main Player will display a special mark on their card.

– You can access the content through the Main Player Progression quick menu on the main lobby. Main Player Progression can be completed once per account.

– You can change the Main Player with another card of the same progression stage during the progression.

* For example, if your progression stage is Impact Chapter, Transcendence Level 3, you may change the Main Player with another card of the same Rarity and progression stage.

* Main Player Progression allows swapping to Special Player Cards of other teams.

<Progression Stages>

– The Main Player Progression follows this sequence:

Impact Transcendence → Prime Boost → Prime Transcendence → Signature Boost.

– Development values are partially carried over for Rarity Boosts.

<Progression Materials>

– Main Player Coins are required for Transcendence and Rarity Boost.

– Coins can be obtained through Daily and Main Player Missions.

<Others>

– For two-way players, Transcendence applies only to the selected position, but both batter and pitcher cards are acquired through Prime or Signature Boosts.

– Cards registered in Main Player Progression cannot be:

> Used in FA Contracts or development menus like Transcendence and Development Transfer.

> Used as material cards in Manage, Workshop, Position Training, etc.

> Released from the Reserve menu.

4. Ambassador System

– Utilize unused player cards from your lineup to earn rewards with the new Ambassador system.

– Access Ambassador through the [Manage Team] menu at the bottom of the main lobby.

<Special & Basic Contribution>

– Ambassadors can be assigned to either Special or Basic Contribution.

– Slots unlock based on OVR requirements, and up to 20 cards can be registered per Contribution type.

– Special Contribution: Register Signature, Prime, Impact, Moment, or FA Cards.

– Basic Contribution: Register Season or Live Cards.

– The Training/Upgrade levels of registered player cards reduce the time needed to earn rewards.

* Registered players cannot be used in lineups and will not be available for FA Contract.

<Contribution Reward>

– Contribution Boxes are granted after a set time based on the Contribution type.

<Point Contribution>

– Point Contribution automatically progresses when players are registered in either Special Contribution or Basic Contribution.

– Points accumulate in real time based on the Rarity and number of registered player cards.

– Points can accumulate for up to 24 hours (1,440 minutes) from the moment the first card is registered.

– After reaching the maximum Points, further accumulation will stop until rewards are claimed.

* The Ambassador system has been designed so that there is no need to develop player cards specifically for registration.
* In the long term, registering more player cards that were replaced in your lineup by newly acquired ones will upgrade your Contribution Box, providing even better rewards.

5. Guide Mission 1 Revamp

– Guide Mission 1 will be revamped to support new users’ progression and understanding of the game.

– Guide Missions 1 and 2 will be renamed as Beginner and Expert Missions.

– The Beginner Mission will follow the same STEP system as the previous Guide Mission 1. Unlock the next STEP by claiming the rewards from the previous one.

– The number of missions per STEP in the Beginner Mission has been reduced from 5 to 4.

– Upon completing each STEP, you can select and receive a player from your preferred team as a reward.

* After the v2.09.00 update, existing users can proceed with the revamped Beginner Mission.

6. Event Game Hard Mode

– A Hard Mode difficulty will be added to Event Games, offering more Event Tokens as rewards.

– After entering the Event Game, you can choose between Normal Mode and Hard Mode.

– Hard Mode consists of three difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, and Hard, same as the existing system.

– To start Hard Mode, your Battle Lineup must meet the OVR requirements.

– Hard Mode consumes 10 Balls per game, and you can set a reward rate of up to 10x.

7. In-Game Animation and Other Improvements

 1) New No Doubter HR animations will be added.

 2) Batter Stance Improvement

– Certain batter’s hitting stance will be improved to appear more natural.

8. Gameplay and Quality of Life Improvement

 1) League Mode Ultimate Coin Info

– The Ultimate Coin information will be displayed on the League Mode selection and main screens.

– The Ultimate Coin Obtained will become available once the Master 1 difficulty is unlocked in League Mode.

– Selecting the Ultimate Coin Obtained will open a pop-up showing detailed Ultimate Coin information.

 2) Improved Player Index Advanced Search Convenience

– The last-used Advanced Search settings in the Player Index will now be saved.

 3) Graphics Settings: Added 120FPS Option

– A 120FPS option will be added under Menu → Settings → Graphics → FPS.

 4) Improved Lineup Load Feature

– The existing “Load Lineup” feature will be renamed as Copy Lineup.

– You can now copy and apply the currently selected lineup to other lineups.

 5) Merged Play Pass Missions

– The Daily/Weekly Missions under the Play Pass will be merged into a single category called Play Mission.

– You can now view all Play Missions on one screen under the Play Mission tab.

* After the v2.09.00 update, progress for Daily and Weekly Missions will be reset.

* For existing users, the Weekly Mission progress will be set to 26.

 6) Challenges: Merged Achievements and Repeat Missions

– The Achievement and Repeat Mission categories under Challenges will be combined into a single menu.

 7) Unused Event Tokens Converted to Points

– After Event Game periods end, unused Event Tokens will be converted into Points (10 Points per token) and sent to your Inbox.

  8) Simplified Upgrade and Consecutive Upgrade UI

– The Upgrade and Consecutive Upgrade menus will be streamlined for better usability.

– Consecutive Upgrade animations will be improved to speed up the process.

 9) Improved Cumulative Rewards Collection

– Claiming an item in cumulative reward menus will now automatically collect all other available items.

– This improvement applies to content such as Event Mode, Event Games, and Scouts where cumulative rewards are used.

 

 10) Exclusion of Special Cards from Training and Upgrade Materials

– Special Cards will now be excluded when selecting material cards for Training and Upgrade.

 

 11) Detailed Item Info in Reward Pop-up

– The item acquisition pop-up will now allow you to view detailed information by pressing the item.

 12) Position Training Lineup Filter Saves Settings

– The Position Training menu will now save the last-used lineup filter settings.

 

 13) Skip Club Battle Season Start Animation

– You can now skip the Club Battle season start animation by pressing the screen during the animation.

 

 14) Adjustment to Training Level EXP Requirements

 1) Intense Training Lucky Wheel Event

– Complete missions to earn chances to spin the wheel and get Training materials in this event mode.

– The event will begin after the v2.09.00 update. More details will be announced in a separate notice.

10. Other

 1) New Mobile Account Sync Option

– Steam accounts will now be available as a login and account sync option on mobile devices.

 2) Roster Change

– Acquirable Players from Player Packs and Scout have been updated.
