Nuclear Nightmare update 1.4.0 is now rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Nuclear Nightmare patch notes, the latest update 1.4.0 added quality of life improvements and gameplay optimizations.
Since the last patch, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Nuclear Nightmare patch 1.4.0 will fix a few of these issues.

Nuclear Nightmare Patch 1.4.0 Notes – November 24, 2024
Features:
- Brand NEW voice chat system (No more ear blasting other people, radios work instantly, global voice chat glitches completely eliminated, audio cut outs completely eliminated, choose the microphone input from the audio menu, death chat, etc)
- Radios are out of beta and respond instantly
- Choose microphone input in game
- Death voice chat
- Improved/Reworked player tags
- Reinforcements no longer take away classifieds however you will still need to complete one in order to call a reinforcement (Reminder if this is too easy for you, you can always disable reinforcements in world settings, also note that this is not final and is subject to change if you tell me this is a terrible idea)
- 3 new attack music tracks
- Head spiders cannot attack on easy mode
Fixes:
- Worm not despawning fix
- Global voice chat after reinforcements
- All audio cut outs
- Microphone thresholds
- Radios not working
- Player name tags not appearing
