Nuclear Option update 0.28.5 is now rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Nuclear Option patch notes, the latest update 0.28.5 added quality of life improvements and gameplay optimizations.
Since the last patch, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Nuclear Option patch 0.28.5 will fix a few of these issues.

Nuclear Option Patch 0.28.5 Notes – July 16, 2024
• Fixed some weapon mounts missing from restriction list in Mission Editor
• Fixed Chicane tail duct thrust gauge
• Improved simulation accuracy of Cricket turboprop engine
• Improved turboprop motion blur visuals
• Fixed ARH missile warnings persisting when missile doesn’t have a lock in terminal phase
• Factories are now named after the unit they produce
• Improved distribution of spawned AI aircraft
• Reduced AA density in Escalation, moved carriers for equal access to strait
• Moved PALA carrier in Free Flight to not interfere with free flying
• Adjusted roll auto-trimmer on EW-25 Medusa
• Added lockout to prevent accidental weapon firing while map is open
• Reduced Ifrit top speed at altitude
• Reduced Ifrit radar cross section
• Increased Scythe sustain motor burn duration from 5s to 6s
• Added safeguard to prevent rare cases of Chicane rotor damage on level load
