More OneDrive backup coming to Windows 10

Soon Windows 10 may be gaining additional OneDrive backup features. A leaked Windows 10 build 41267, shows that Microsoft is working on providing you more than just backups of files and media. The option to turn on or off the ability for OneDrive to store your apps, passwords, settings and accounts.

According to Thurrott.com:

“Thanks to a leaked build last week, it looks like Microsoft is preparing to offer an improved backup solution that will give you better control of the items that are stored in the cloud service. As you can see from the screenshot above from build 14278, you will soon have the ability to turn off and on having Onedrive store your apps, passwords, settings and accounts.”

While all current insider versions of Windows 10 do not have these new OneDrive options, a similar functionality already exists in Windows 10 Mobile. So, with Microsoft’s attitude towards having “universal” apps, the new OneDrive backup options may make sense.
