A new Planet Zoo update 1.18 released on PC. According to the official Planet Zoo patch notes, the latest update 1.18 addresses some bugs and crashes.
Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Planet Zoo patch 1.18 will fix a few of these issues.

Planet Zoo Patch 1.18 Notes – Oct. 15, 2024
Animals
- Fixed an issue where Juvenile Alpine Goats were unable to access the Scarecrow enrichment item
- Audio has been updated to match the Female alpine goat scratching post
- Minor animation adjustments to Female and Juvenile Sussex chickens death pose
- Female Black and White Lemur no longer shrinks when drinking from the water pipe
- Juvenile Sun bear no longer deforms when interacting with the Ice Block enrichment item
- Minor animation adjustments to the Male American Alligator when fighting
- Binturongs now perform a hang-down behavior when climbing more often
- Updated the Zoopedia entry for the Hermann’s Tortoise to be Vulnerable instead of Near Threatened
- Added Oceania to the list of continents where the King Penguin lives
- Adjusted the fun facts of European Badgers
Staff
- Staff can no longer be placed directly inside a souvenir shop expansion tile – This avoids them becoming stuck
Localisation
- Adjusted the Brazilian Portuguese translation of Rustic Wood Fence Post 03 so it’s consistent with similar items
Guests
- Fixed guests becoming stuck in souvenir shops after loading a saved zoo
Scenery
- Adjusted the Classic Theme Arch assets to allow better guest visibility
- Adjusted the Wallpaper Billboard posters so images display in the correct aspect ratio
- Rustic Garden collection Blueprint no longer requires the conservation pack to place it
- Added “Racoon” tags to appropriate climbing structure blueprints
- Ginkgo Trees will no longer pop up with an error when placed
UI
- Fix the rehome button functionality for domesticated animals
Stability
- Fixed various crashes, improving game stability
