A new Project Zomboid update 42.5.1 released on PC. According to the official Project Zomboid patch notes, the latest update 42.5.1 addresses some bugs and crashes.
Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Project Zomboid patch 42.5.1 will fix a few of these issues.

Project Zomboid Patch 42.5.1 Notes – March 12, 2025
- Slight fixes to zombie heat map. Some remote locations had too many. (Zombie heat map is always a work in progress and will be continually refined through many patches)
- Added missing tiles for Stendo’s Firearms Emporium, including the all important sign.
- Characters with Smoker will now cough once in 12-35 hours.
