Rail Route Update 12 Patch Notes – June 27, 2023

Rail Route update 12 is now available to download on PC, Ps4, PS5, and Xbox one. According to the official Rail Route patch notes, the latest update 12 addresses some bugs and crashes.

Previously, a major update 12 added new changes, fixes, and gameplay improvements.

Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues since the release. Today’s Rail Route version 12 will fix a few of these issues.

Rail Route Patch 12 Notes – June 27, 2023

Added Features

  • Added ‘Stop’ and ‘Run’ commands to the train controls for easier train management.
  • Introduced a hold button and replaced the train stop, start, and tutorial skip buttons with it for improved functionality.
  • Enhanced the game’s UI elements by adding info panels, context panels, bottom bars, and other new UI components.
  • Implemented support for multilegged trains in the train bottom bar.
  • Added support for urban trains in the visuals of train stops.
  • Introduced a button in the Train Bottom Bar to set up a train to be dispatched from the coachyard in reverse (loco pushing the train). This button is displayed only when relevant.
  • Displayed the precise transfer time of trial trains between stations for easier schedule modifications.
  • Added a focus view for Offered Contracts.
  • Enabled individual contract legs to be selected by clicking them in the offered contract bottom bar.
  • Displayed multi-leg contracts in the Active Contracts view.
  • Generated multi-leg contracts for stations with a Coach Yard.
  • Allowed configuring one-off contracts to arrive later when accepted but prevented further modifications to their schedule.
  • Showed keybind hints for configure actions on the bottom bar.
  • Introduced timeshifting for offered contracts.
  • Added a train alert for trains stopped by the user.
  • Included train finished and reverse sounds for enhanced audio feedback.
  • Displayed an info panel to accept/decline contracts when the trial train is finished.

Updates

  • Edited the active contract schedule in the Contract Focus View.
  • Added the current time above the indicator line in the station info panel timeline.
  • Improved the visuals of buttons by adding a new button style and updating existing buttons.
  • Created a scroll area in the interface configuration panel for lower resolution displays.
  • Unlocked all upgrades for the Overview panel by default and removed the need to unlock them.
  • Replaced the entire panel with an animated score icon when the Rush Hour wave completes.
  • Assigned the same state colors from the new UI buttons to the old UI buttons.
  • Changed all old UI elements to use new colors.
  • Clicking on an upcoming train item now shows the train bottom bar for that specific train.
  • Turned off construction mode when the main menu is opened.
  • Introduced the Contract.OwningStation concept and generated contracts for stations where a free slot is still available. Adjusted the contract limit to 2 per station and added more contract upgrades for 3/4/6 contracts per station.
  • Set the default configure keybind to middle mouse with an alternative ‘V’.
  • Made the “From,” “Mandatory,” and “To” stations non-clickable in the inactive contracts panel.
  • Hidden the left and right buttons on the train bottom bar for single-leg trains as they are unused.
  • Improved the bottom bar schedule for offered regional train contracts.
  • Added info panels to the other side when the preferred spawn location is full.
  • Implemented localizations for different languages, including achievements, tutorials, and UI elements.
  • Added localizations for research, tutorials, and UI elements in specific languages.
  • Made the overview panel toggleable and disabled it by default.
  • Moved the configuration panel close button to the top right of the panel.
  • Moved existing detail panels to the configuration panels.
  • Displayed contract legs in the active contracts panel for multi-legged contracts.
  • Added news sprites for joystick button presses (L and R).
  • Turned off one-way contracts (to and from the coachyard) generation and replaced them with multi-leg contracts.
  • Properly displayed highlighted and selected trains in the overview panel.
  • Added platforms selection for offered contracts.
  • Removed the randomization of expected average speed for freight, recurrent IC, commuter, and regional contracts and used the maximum train speed instead to simplify contract selection. Adjusted the reward to compensate for this change.
  • Accepted regular trains to, displayed in, and auto-dispatched from the Coach Yard.
  • Replaced the old automated contracts manager panel with a new configuration panel.
  • Made research points clickable to open the system upgrades menu.
  • Adjusted the reward for one-off single-leg contracts, which no longer comprises red points but offers twice the money instead.
  • Modified the reward for single-leg IC contracts to no longer comprise red points if the expected speed is above 100km/h.
  • Increased the reward for urban transit contracts significantly.
  • Adjusted the reward for urban transit contracts to no longer comprise green points and depend only on the number of unique stations. Reduced the maximum speed to balance it, as well as the max speed for freight trains.
  • Unlocked station colors by default and made them a part of the station configuration panel instead of an upgrade.
  • Replaced station configuration panel elements with new UI variants.
  • Removed chapters in the Story Of Jozic related to getting red experience points, as the basic track upgrade no longer requires red points to be unlocked.
  • Showed the selected train in the map editor with the train bottom bar.
  • Highlighted the train being modified in the station info panel timeline.
  • Showed times in the train timeline.
  • Upcoming trains on the bottom bar now show the station of arrival and are clickable.
  • Increased the rewards per station for urban trains.

Fixes

  • Fixed the issue where actions with keybinds would still fire while typing in some input fields.
  • Adjust active contract button was shown on the train bottom bar in the timetable and Rush Hour mode.
  • Autoscroll to current destination in the timetable adjustments panel could cause interactions to be misaligned from destinations.
  • Build button was not shown in system upgrade tutorials.
  • Buttons with hover scale effect got stuck mid-animation when clicked.
  • Camera movement with keys stopped working after closing the configuration panel with a button.
  • Construction cursor was scaling with zoom from the wrong pivot.
  • Error occurred when trying to get the previous or next instance of a train in the timetable map for the train bottom bar.
  • Game over modal was not navigatable with a controller.
  • Handled the possible NullReferenceException when unbinding the virtual cursor.
  • Keybind hints were shown as text for other input devices instead of the current one if no binding existed for the current input device.
  • Missing text highlights in the cycle report.
  • Mouse pointer was not reenabled after a modal was shown during the story when using a gamepad.
  • Navigation highlighter was destroyed when loading a map.
  • Previous and next legs on the train bottom bar were not available for the trial train.
  • Reverse and Adjust timetable buttons on the train bottom bar did not listen to the shown keybind.
  • Scrollbar had incorrect colors set up.
  • Selecting a different train in the editor station info panel timeline would not deselect the previous train.
  • Slider handle still animated when the slider was non-interactable.
  • Some menu pages did not reenable navigation on correct elements when switching pages or opening the menu.
  • Station info panel timeline highlight for trains with 2 stops on the same station was out of the panel.
  • Station info panel timeline visit highlights could show outside of the panel.
  • Station info panel train labels overlapped the research panel.
  • Disabled station color in the station info panel shadowed when switching contract legs in the offered contract focus view.
  • Time control bindings stopped working when closing system upgrades with the toggle button.
  • Time could overlap buttons above the bottom bar on large UI scales.
  • Timetable and Rush Hour trains did not work in the train bottom bar.
  • Train schedule did not fit properly in the train bottom bar.
  • Train stop in the train bottom bar schedule had black time text when the station has a yellow sign.
  • Trains already in a selected state were not highlighted in the station info panel when the panel was created.
  • Trains scheduled in the future could not be selected in the station info panel timeline.
  • Upcoming train remained highlighted after the upcoming train bottom bar was closed.
  • Various UI elements were visible on the map when the Rush Hour wave completion screen was shown.
  • Zoom in CameraMoveToBounds were wrongly calculated.
