Sketchy’s Contract Patch 0.1.1.4 Notes- January 1, 2025
Quality of Life:
- Added an option in the Controls Settings to Toggle Sprint for players who prefer not to hold down the sprint button.
- Added an option in the HUD Settings to Toggle Enemy Healthbar on dealing damage to them.
- Added a sound effect when a new chat message is received. The sound effect can be turned off in the Audio Settings.
- Added a volume slider to control the volume of the new chat message sound.
UPDATES
- AI no longer restore health on combat reset with the exception of certain types of enemies that are considers advanced or “Elite” such as “The Greed Who Stole Christmas” and the “Evil Snowman”. These new “Elite” monster types are a new concept that I will be diving deeper into with 2025.
- Increased the range at which AI returned to their origins and updated AI pathing logic that was causing issues with AI returning to their origins properly (origin returning may still be off depending on how complex the path is back to the origin).
- The nighttime warning starting at 8pm now warns the player if it is the last day that the ship will leave if they do not make it back in time.
- Consumables now heal instantly rather than based on when the animation fires the consume.
- Doubled the respawn cooldown of respawnable AI to help provide a better safety grace period.
FIXES
- Fixed an issue with looted items sometimes not creating unique IDs properly which would cause the item to not count as collected and be omitted from the save file when placed on the ship.
- Fixed an issue causing loot placed into the ship while on a planet would sometimes not register as “Collected” which consequentially prevented the item from being saved when the player logged out.
- Fixed an issue where Night Walkers were not playing audio when dying.
- Fixed an issue allowing players to jump in the ship while it is transitioning which caused players to clip out of the ship and die.
- Fixed an issue where if a player ran out of O2, health continued to decline even if O2 began regenerating.
- Fixed an issue where the Beer Keg and Pirate Chest was not counting as “Collected” when placed into the ship which prevented it from adding to the quota and being saved to the save file.
- Fixed an issue where disabling the jetpack while in Zero gravity would cause the player to fall infinitely rather than beginning to float in zero gravity again.
- Fixed an issue where the wooden cabins doors for level 3 that are not meant to be opened were displaying the interaction text when hovered over.
