Song of The Prairie update 0.9.71 is now rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Song of The Prairie patch notes, the latest update 0.9.71 added quality of life improvements and gameplay optimizations.
Since the last patch, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Song of The Prairie patch 0.9.71 will fix a few of these issues.

Song of The Prairie Patch 0.9.71 Notes – June 18, 2024
Bug Fixes:
- Character Movement: Fixed an issue where the character would move forward automatically when opening the dressing mirror and changing outfits.
- Mutant Sheep Skills: Fixed a bug preventing mutant sheep from using their skills while riding them.
- Player Buff & Mutant Sheep Skills: Resolved an issue where player buffs wouldn’t affect mutant sheep skills.
- Quest Dialogues: Added missing dialogue options for the English versions of “Wallis’ Suggestion,” “Ghost Clerk,” and “Roasted Fish with Love” quests.
- Status Duration: Fixed inconsistencies between the described and actual durations of certain character statuses.
- NPC Behavior:
- Wallis will now properly sit in the guild during work hours.
- Other characters will now return home and sleep as intended.
- Localization: Fixed various translation errors in the game.
Optimizations:
- Screen Settings: Resolved an issue where screen settings would automatically switch to windowed mode after restarting the game.
- Fashion Salon: Fixed a display error with the default hairstyle in the Fashion Salon.
- Rising Lantern Minigame: Improved the casting camera for the Rising Lantern minigame.
- Dressing Mirror: Default outfits and accessories will now be accessible in the dressing mirror (applicable to new games only).
