Steam Engine Simulator update 0.1.21a is now available to download on PC, Ps4, PS5, and Xbox one. According to the official Steam Engine Simulator patch notes, the latest update 0.1.21a addresses some bugs and crashes.
Previously, a major update 0.1.21a added new changes, fixes, and gameplay improvements.
Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues since the release. Today’s Steam Engine Simulator version 0.1.21a will fix a few of these issues.

Steam Engine Simulator Patch 0.1.21a Notes – July 6, 2023
- Game no longer crashes after 20 hours of play-time
- Fixed tick count on pressure gauge (it had 6 segments instead of 5)
- The engine and controls would sometimes freeze after a lag spike; this has been fixed
- Hints no longer display when hints are disabled
- Controllable elements are highlighted when controls are displayed
- Starter motor pitch adjusted down slightly
- Steam particle system looks more consistent at different framerates
