Fortnite UPDATE 1.46 Patch Notes for PS4 and XBox One

Fortnite Update 1.46 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 1.46 patch notes, the new update comes minor bug fixes and improvements. In addition, Fortnite version 1.46 has fixed client crashes which some players were experiencing. The new patch size is around 200MB on PlayStation 4.

Previously, big update 3.1.0 was released with Lucky Landing and Hunting Rifle for Battle Royale players. Save the World players also received Dragonfire Auto-Shotgun and much more. Check out more details below.

Fortnite Version 1.42 Patch Notes, New Crossbow, New Skins and More

Fortnite version 1.42 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Battle Royale Changes in Fortnite 1.42

GENERAL

  • The Shooting Test #1 Limited-Time Mode has been switched to Solo only.
    • Known Issue: The Shooting Test does not save progression for stats or challenges.
  • With Fortnite version 1.42 update, Shotgun headshot damage increased to 200%.
  • Scoped Assault Rifle is now 100% accurate when zoomed in.
  • Scoped Assault Rifle no longer has damage fall-off.

Bug Fixes

  • Players will no longer slide off rooftops.
  • Fortnite version 1.42 has added a fix for an issue where Item Shop panels disappearing after completing a V-buck purchase through the Store Tab.
  • Added a fix for collision inconsistencies in certain basement corners.
  • Fortnite Update 1.42 addressed a hole in the terrain south of Retail Row.

WEAPONS

Fortnite 1.42 has added a New Crossbow Weapons

  • This weapon fires Arrows, which are an unlimited ammo type.
  • Found from floor loot and treasure chests.
  • This weapon comes in both Rare and Epic variants.

Save the World Changes in Fortnite update 1.42

Save the World players will receive new Quests, events, bug fixes, quality of life improvements and more next week.

GENERAL

  • Known Issue: Chests have low-resolution graphics on the results screen

Fortnite Update 2.3 brings Battle Royale changes and bug fixes

Fortnite Update 2.3 will be available tomorrow on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The latest patch includes bug fixes and some long-anticipated changes for Battle Royale. This will include an option to remove aim-assist on consoles, and more. The Winter Event for Save the World will be ending on Jan 25. The Mutant Storms is also returning. PATCH NOTES – BATTLE ROYALE

GAMEPLAY

  • Added AutoRun!
    • Input defaults for PC are “=” and “NumLock”
    • Input defaults for controller is double-clicking the left stick.
  • Added a setting to disable aim assist on consoles.
  • Remapped weapon binds on AZERTY keyboards to the top row number keys.
Bug Fixes
  • Wooden power poles no longer block building.
  • Spike Traps found in Supply Drops will now stack with other Spike Traps found elsewhere.
  • The Spike Trap’s effective range will now more accurately match the distance of the spike animation. The damage area was previously too large.
  • Supply drops no longer hover above the ground after landing.
  • Fixed an issue which prevented the Shield Potion and Slurp Juice visual effects from playing when the player is already shielded.
  • Fixed an issue that made Cozy Campfires appear to be active after they have expired.
  • Fixed an issue which caused collision of eliminated players to persist for too long.
  • Fixed an issue which allowed players to hide inside of supply drops if the supply drop landed on a crouched player.
  • Fixed an issue which allowed players to pass through walls as they edited them.
  • Optimized the speed at which players can cycle building pieces under poor network conditions.
  • Fixed an issue which caused dropped items to fall off the edge of the map and spawn near a living player.
  • Kicking a basketball through a soccer net no longer counts as a goal. Soccer balls still count.

WEAPONS

Bug Fixes
  • Improved the accuracy of grenade arcs.
  • Fixed an issue which allowed players to switch between two scoped weapons without leaving the scoped view.
  • Player’s weapons will no longer disappear for a short time after the effects of the Boogie Bomb wear off.
  • Reduced the delay between throwing a grenade and switching to another weapon.

GENERAL

  • Shadowplay Highlights now records player knockdowns (DBNO).
  • Quitting a match early will no longer award stat or challenge progress. Progress will only be awarded when a player leaves after they are eliminated or have won.
Bug Fixes
  • Players can no longer purchase the Battle Pass x10 Tier bundle when at or above Battle Pass tier 65.
    • We fixed this on January 19th and affected players have been compensated.
  • Fixed an issue which allowed items in the locker to rotate on the wrong axis while spinning them.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the client to lock up after ALT-TABing on PC.
  • While spectating, players will now be returned to scoped view when the spectated player switches between scoped weapons, instead of being pulled into third-person view.
  • Brick building effects have been fixed.
  • Players can now mute party members from the lobby screen.
  • Players banned from voice chat can no longer use it on the lobby screen.

UI

  • Added Auto Decline Friend Requests as a new option for PC players to the Social Widget.
    • When enabled, friend requests will be auto-declined. Enabling this option will decline all pending friend requests.
Bug Fixes
  • Friend and Party invite notifications will now correctly appear for Battle Royale players that have never played Save the World.
  • You no longer open the fullscreen map while spectating a player with report menu up,
    • This issue only occurred if a player was using the “Combat Pro” controller config.
  • The radial emote menu will no longer persist after the warm-up phase if left open.
  • Characters pose no longer resets after opening the news widget.
  • The ping value displayed in the Net Debug Stats UI is now more accurate. It will appear higher than before for all players.

AUDIO

  • Lowered volume of bus music and the sound played when jumping out of the bus.
  • Lowered volume of wind sounds played during skydiving and gliding.
  • Lowered the volume of gunfire, footsteps, and impacts during warmup phase.
  • Removed the “Caw” sound layer from the Death Valley pickaxe.
  • Removed some layers from the new pickaxe sounds that could be mistaken for bullet whiz-bys
Bug Fixes
  • Music from dance emotes will no longer overlap.
  • Loot chest audio is no longer hushed by pickaxe impact sounds.

WORLD

  • Added more loot spawns to Haunted Hills.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed missing collision on junkyard crane.
  • Fixed two areas where players could hide under the terrain by the edge of the river.
  • Fixed a section of the Moisty Mire water that did not slow players down.
  • Fixed a mine cart in Shifty Shafts that could not be destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue causing the soccer stadium to sometimes not load in properly.
  • Fixed a seam in the terrain near Flush Factory that allowed players to see through the map.
  • Added collision to pillars in Haunted Hills so players can no longer hide inside them.
  • Scoring a goal in the Soccer stadium will now show proper visual effects.

PATCH NOTES – SAVE THE WORLD

MUTANT STORM EVENT RETURNS!

  • This storm season, Mutant Storms will appear in greater numbers.
  • Mutant Storm mission alerts award Storm Tickets in addition to the Evolution Materials that they usually drop.
    • Quota: 10 per day.
  • Up to 5 Mutant Storms are available at a time in Stonewood, and up to 25 Active Storms are available at a time in Plankerton, Canny Valley, and Twine Peaks.
  • Purchased upgrade Llamas award Storm Tickets.
  • All missions will continue to award Seasonal Gold, and Daily Quests will continue to award Daily Coins.
  • Most Event Quests award Storm Tickets.
    • Some Event Quests award V-Bucks.
  • Hydraulic Weapons and Storm Zone Heroes have returned, and are available in the Storm Llamas during this event.
  • Event Store has been updated!
    • The Legendary Hydra Transform Key is available in the Event Store!
    • The Event Store also offers Legendary Constructor BASE Hype.
      • The Event Storm Llama also has a chance of awarding this hero.
  • Since we’re reintroducing the Legendary Hydra with this Mutant Storms event, it can now be recycled, put in the Collection Book and consumes inventory space.
  • For every 1,000 unspent Snowflake tickets, a Holiday Survival Llama will automatically be granted and can be found in the Loot Tab. All remaining tickets will be lost.

 

MINI-BOSSES

  • Mini-bosses are still present on the map, but the number of mission alerts have been reduced from the Holiday event.
  • Up to 3 of these Mini-Boss mission alerts can appear in Stonewood at a time and up to 6 at a time in Plankerton, Canny and Twine.
    • Quota: 3 per day.
  • These Mini-boss alerts have replaced the old generic Mission Alerts that used to be on the map. As a result:
    • Mini-boss Alerts can now be played in higher-difficulty missions that you have not unlocked yet.
    • Mini-boss Alerts reward a wide array of items, including transform keys, schematics, survivors, and more!
  • Return of “Mini-Boss” Quests:
    • Awards Seasonal Gold currency and is repeatable.
    • Seasonal Gold currency can be used to purchase items from the Event Store.
      • This currency only lasts for a season, so spend it while you can!

GAMEPLAY

  • Added Auto-Run!
    • Input defaults for PC are “=” and “NumLock”.
    • Input defaults for controller is double-clicking the left stick.
  • Adjusted several weapon Perk rolls
    • Break shotguns can no longer roll Rate of Fire perks
    • VinderTech Rocket Hammer can now roll Energy and Elemental perks
    • VinderTech and Vacuum Tube sniper rifles can now roll perks that trigger a small explosion of damage after headshot kills.
  • Standardized the damage melee weapons do to the environment.
    • Melee weapons previously varied from 20%-70% of weapon damage depending upon the weapon type and the target material.
    • All weapons are now set to a flat 50% of weapon damage against wood and stone, and 20% versus metal.
    • Pickaxes remain unaffected.

Bug Fixes

  • Lightning Pistol now correctly shows up as part of the Vacuum Tube weapon set.

HEROES

Bug Fixes
  • Frag grenades and cluster bombs will no longer fall through water, which caused Soldier’s to be unable to throw a second grenade.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing TEDDY to have reduced range while firing.

UI

  • Added Auto Decline Friend Requests as a new option for PC players to the Social Widget.
  • When enabled, friend requests will be auto-declined. Enabling this option will decline all pending friend requests.
  • Added count indicator to collection book slots.
  • Added XP counts to the Collection Book Rewards schedule.
  • Added total count to “root” rows on the collection book nav.
  • Power widgets now show buffed power glow when buffed from party members.
  • “Warcry” tooltip now properly displays the melee attack speed bonus
Bug Fixes
  • Consumable item transform keys can now only create items that match the rarity of the key.
    • This will prevent players from accidentally using a high-rarity consumable transform key to create a low-rarity item.
  • Mission alert rewards will no longer show in the objectives menu in-game when the player had already collected the current mission alert or reached their quota.
  • Buying Llamas during the tutorial will no longer cause the UI to have display issues.
  • Fixed a visual issue that made it look like Survivor power levels weren’t increasing after leveling them up.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing large font power levels to appear where teammates names should go.

ART/ANIMATION

  • Blinking lights on the Vacuum Tube weapons have been boxed up and put into the attic until next year. The lights have returned to their default orange color.
  • Energy weapons no longer appear completely blue.

 

Known Issues

In an effort to continue increasing our level of transparency and communication we’re going to begin posting “Known Issues” with our patch notes. This section will identify issues we’re aware of that will be in the latest patch. This is our first attempt at this section and very much a work in progress. This will continue to improve in the coming weeks.

  • Hitching happening at various times such as players joining matches, player loadout changes and day to night transitions.
  • Items in the game seem larger than they should.
  • Friend UI is displaying incorrectly.
  • The “Keep Out” perk is currently not lasting the full 10 seconds.
  • When Reset Building Choice is set to “Off” in the settings, while in zone building choices will reset and sometimes not appear.

FORTNITE Version 1.36 for PS4, Read What’s New and Fixed

Fortnite Version 1.36 update for PlayStation 4 is now available for download. The latest Fortnite update 1.36 rolling out with bug fixes and game improvements. In addition, Fortnite 1.36 also includes game stability fixes. According to the Epic Games, Fortnite users are currently experiencing an issue with the login and some players may have trouble logging into the launcher. The team is working on it and the issue will be fixed soon.

FORTNITE 1.35 Patch Notes for PS4 and Xbox One

Battle Royale Changes in Fortnite version 1.35

WEAPONS

  • Fortnite update 1.35 removed the Scoped AR from Supply Drops.
  • Updated the scope for the Scoped AR.
  • Replaced the old arrow reticle with a more modern design. It should be easier to tell where you are aiming and where your crosshair actually is.
  • The Snowball Launcher has been replaced by the normal Grenade Launcher.
  • Fortnite 1.35 also slightly increased the size of the grenade (loot).
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed frag and smoke grenades exploding on impact when hitting shallow water.
  • Fortnite update 1.35 addressed a bug where the grenade toss animation ended prematurely when tossing the last grenade in a stack.
  • The Boogie Bomb effect will now kick players out of weapon targeting.
  • Players can no longer place traps while affected by the Boogie Bomb.
  • Explosion effects now play properly on water surfaces after Fortnite version 1.35.

GAMEPLAY

  • With Fortnite update 1.35, friendly Fire is now disabled.
  • Players will now immediately aim their weapon upon landing on the ground if they press and hold the aim button while in the air.
  • Pickups no longer take priority over reviving DBNO squad members.
  • After Fortnite 1.35 patch, empty chests and metal street lights will no longer block players from building.
  • Corn stalks are now destroyed upon taking any damage.
Bug Fixes
  • Fortnite version 1.35 adjusted how ammo crates drop ammo so that they don’t overlap the ammo box itself.
    Attempting to use a scope while playing an emote will now cancel the animation.
  • Addressed an issue that prevented players from picking up eliminated player’s items.
  • Fixed a few issues which caused supply drops to pass through player built structures.
  • Fortnite update 1.35 addressed a bug which caused a trap to deal no damage if a ramp or roof is placed in front of the trap.
  • Build mode visuals no longer persist when using a Launch Pad or when knocked into the DBNO state.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to see through the smoke grenade effect while scoped.
  • You can now move forward and backward while gliding when facing straight up and down.
  • The Cozy Campfire trap no longer heals eliminated players.

WORLD

  • The map has been updated with many new points of interest, biomes, and more!
  • Players now interact with grass and foliage as they walk through it.
  • Added water effects when entering and exiting water.
  • Fortnite update 1.35 added a new post-process effect for when your camera goes below the water surface.
  • It will now look like you are actually underwater, and you can no longer see for an infinite distance.
  • Added Ammo Boxes to Dusty Depot.
  • Fortnite 1.35 increased the amount of metal harvested from shipping containers.
Bug Fixes
  • Water no longer blocks bullets and projectiles.

ITEM SHOP

  • Players should see six daily store slots instead of four (Starting on January 17th, 2018 ).
  • The Weekly Item shop is changing to the Featured Item Shop(Starting on January 21st, 2018).
  • Offers will update twice weekly instead of once.

UI

  • Sniper elimination feed messages now include elimination distance in meters.
  • When spectating a far away player, a “loading” message may be displayed for a short time, and the game world will appear after loading completes. You cannot switch to another spectated player until the load completes.
  • The “Reset Building Choice” option now defaults to “Off” in Battle Royale.
  • Fortnite 1.35 added a new option to select which voice chat input device to use.
Bug Fixes
  • The “Select Mode” button is now greyed out and unselectable after readying up.
    When selecting “Report Player” the “Name” field will no longer auto-fill the the player’s own name.
  • Fortnite update 1.35 adjusted the “Cancel/Unready” button so it looks more like the “Ready” button.
  • The “Press E to Pickup” prompt no longer persists for DBNO players.
  • Addressed an issue that made the voice chat icon appear to be active if the player disabled their voice chat while it was active.
  • Fortnite 1.35 update fixed an issue which caused the revive icon to remain over a player if two players revived them at the same time.
  • Players will now be able to unready if the party leader cancels matchmaking while in the “Loading Content” phase.
  • The matchmaking UI will now properly update when joining a different Battle Royale lobby while the user is set to Ready.
  • Fixed local user always showing up in the global leaderboard with 0 wins if they aren’t in the global top 50 list.

PERFORMANCE

  • Fortnite version 1.35 added level streaming, which loads the world on-the-fly as you move around, enabling a richer map and improved performance.
  • Improved frame rate by greatly reducing the number of objects that need to be updated.
  • Loading times have been greatly improved. It’s over twice as fast to load into the match on PS4 and Xbox One!
  • Loading content before matchmaking now completes quicker.
  • Hitching when garbage collecting memory every minute reduced with Fortnite 1.35 update.
  • Hitching caused by updating objects when the time of day changes from day to night, and vice-versa is now reduced with Fortnite update 1.35.
  • Reduced the amount of system and GPU memory used.
  • Optimized the visual effects played when distant buildings are hit.
  • Improved overall frame rate by optimizing how player animation and footsteps are handled.
  • Cozy Campfire and Boogie Bomb items no longer cause a hitch when seen the first time in a match.
  • Encountering players with specific skins for the first time in a match no longer causes a hitch.

ART/ANIMATION

  • Greatly improved the visual quality of distant trees by using impostor billboards instead of regular meshes. This also improves overall frame rate and reduces visual popping as you approach the trees.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that could cause remote players to look like they have stopped animating.
  • Fortnite version 1.35 improved the “Ride the Pony” animation so the character’s arm no longer pops.
  • Players will no longer appear as if they are still holding a weapon after being hit by a Boogie Bomb.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the character’s launch animation from playing if a Launch Pad is placed directly at a player’s feet.
  • Fortnite update 1.35 adjusted the color of the Shield Potion so that’s easier to see.
  • Fixed an issue that caused teammates to appear stuck in the sliding animation if they were knocked DBNO while in the air or sliding.
  • Cozy Campfire special effects are now visible on low and medium settings.

AUDIO

  • Fortnite 1.35 added new audio for pickaxes that were previously using default swing sounds.
  • Added a pick-up sound effect for the damage trap.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue which caused footstep sounds to play at an incorrect cadence or not at all while a player is not on screen.
  • Consumable item audio is now adjusted with the SFX volume slider rather than the Dialogue slider.
  • Fortnite version 1.35 PS4 update fixed an issue which caused players to hear bullet “whiz-by” sounds from their own shots.
  • Addressed an issue that sometimes caused a falling wind sound to loop repeatedly after being eliminated.
  • Gunfire audio will no longer pan to the left & right as you move away from where you shot.
  • Volume of consumable pick-up sounds is reduced with Fortnite update 1.35.
  • Reduced volume of collection sound when harvesting wood.
  • Fixed issues with rapid left/right panning when dropping weapons, and attempting to build in an invalid location.
  • According to the Fortnite update 1.35 patch notes, the new update removed the jarring stone impact sound from the AC/DC pickaxe.

GENERAL

  • Voice chat now supported in the pre-game lobby.
  • Cosmetic items can now be rotated in the locker and store pages. Left click and drag or use the right thumbstick on the controller to rotate them.
  • Removed the winter theme from the pre-game lobby.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue which allowed players to get credit for completing challenges that were not completed.
  • According to the Fortnite update 1.35 patch notes, the new update addressed an issue which allowed aim assist to function while using a mouse.
  • Friend requests can now be sent to players that have left the match, using the + icon next to their name.
  • Clicking “Join” on a Discord invite when the client is not open would will no longer cause you to fail when trying to join a party.

GAMEPLAY

Bug Fixes
  • Shielders will now properly drop quest items for “Loks Book of Monsters” quest.
  • Fixed an issue with the Grenade Generation perk. The player is now rewarded with a grenade after eliminating 20 enemies rather than 21.
  • Fortnite version 1.35 fixed an issue where the pickaxe heavy attack was not harvesting resources.
  • Addressed an issue where the Shielder enemy would flicker after the Husk it was shielding was defeated.
  • Fixed an issue that caused quest highlights on objects to disappear when building near the object.
  • Fortnite 1.35 addressed an issue that caused some parties to disband after a game.

HEROES

  • Fortnite update 1.35 added clarification to the tooltip of the Constructor ability, “DECOY”.
    It now states it’s made of metal, and thus vulnerable to nature damage.
Bug Fixes
  • Impact from abilities will now properly scale with Hero Ability Damage. As a result abilities will now correctly stagger, stun, and knockback enemies at high levels.
  • Addressed an issue where proximity mines wouldn’t disappear when the player who placed them left the match or died.
  • Fortnite version 1.35 addressed an issue where frag grenades could still be used even when the player didn’t have enough stamina to use it.
  • Addressed an issue where the Soldier’s “Advanced Tactics” health bonus wasn’t properly scaling in the late game.
  • Fortnite 1.35 update addressed an issue where the Frag Grenade perk “Cluster Bomb” was triggering twice rather than just once.
  • Fixed the tool-tip for Air Strike which incorrectly stated that Air Strike drops 12 bombs, instead of 13.
  • Fortnite update 1.35 addressed a bug where the Outlander Fragment abilities TEDDY and Shock Tower weren’t receiving the energy damage bonus from the Energized support perk.

UI

  • The Commander XP curve has been inflated to make way for front-end crafting. This is to ensure that low-value items (e.g. ammo) are worth at least 1 Commander XP when crafted in the main menus.

PATCH NOTES – BATTLE ROYALE

WEAPONS

  • Removed the Scoped AR from Supply Drops.
  • Updated the scope for the Scoped AR.
    • Replaced the old arrow reticle with a more modern design. It should be easier to tell where you are aiming and where your crosshair actually is.
  • The Snowball Launcher has been replaced by the normal Grenade Launcher.
  • Slightly increased the size of the grenade (loot).
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed frag and smoke grenades exploding on impact when hitting shallow water.
  • Fixed an issue where the grenade toss animation ended prematurely when tossing the last grenade in a stack.
  • The Boogie Bomb effect will now kick players out of weapon targeting.

PERFORMANCE

  • Added level streaming, which loads the world on-the-fly as you move around, enabling a richer map and improved performance.
    • Improved frame rate by greatly reducing the number of objects that need to be updated.
    • Loading times have been greatly improved.  It’s over twice as fast to load into the match on PS4 and Xbox One!
    • Loading content before matchmaking now completes quicker.
    • Greatly reduced hitching when garbage collecting memory every minute.
    • Greatly reduced hitching caused by updating objects when the time of day changes from day to night, and vice-versa.
  • Reduced the amount of system and GPU memory used.
  • Optimized the visual effects played when distant buildings are hit.
  • Improved overall frame rate by optimizing how player animation and footsteps are handled.
  • Cozy Campfire and Boogie Bomb items no longer cause a hitch when seen the first time in a match.
  • Encountering players with specific skins for the first time in a match no longer causes a hitch.

ART/ANIMATION

  • Greatly improved the visual quality of distant trees by using impostor billboards instead of regular meshes. This also improves overall frame rate and reduces visual popping as you approach the trees.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue that could cause remote players to look like they have stopped animating.
  • Improved the “Ride the Pony” animation so the character’s arm no longer pops.
  • Players will no longer appear as if they are still holding a weapon after being hit by a Boogie Bomb.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the character’s launch animation from playing if a Launch Pad is placed directly at a player’s feet.
  • Adjusted the color of the Shield Potion so that’s easier to see.

Fortnite Update 2.1 adds NVIDIA ShadowPlay Highlights

Fortnite Update 2.1.0 will soon roll out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The latest v2.1.0 patch introducing ShadowPlay Highlights from NVIDIA. ShadowPlay will save plays automatically by default. You are also able to manually configure which plays get saved and customize it to fit your style. NVIDIA ShadowPlay Highlights is supported for all PC gamers using GeForce GTX 650 and above graphics cards.

WEAPONS

  • The Boogie Bomb dance effect is now removed upon taking any damage. We will continue to monitor and iterate on this item’s functionality.
  • Changed the Boogie Bomb rarity to blue/rare to more accurately represent its true rarity.

GAMEPLAY

  • Fixed an issue which caused players to pass through their recently built and edited structures.
  • Fixed an issue which allowed sniper bullets to pass through players without applying any damage.

  • Fixed an issue which caused the “Push to Talk” setting to disappear from the Battle Royale settings when restoring default settings in Save the World.
  • Shortened a few Daily Challenge descriptions which would run off the screen in a few languages.
  • Daily challenge rewards are automatically collected if another challenge is completed in the same category.
    • For instance, if you complete a Battle Pass daily challenge but do not “collect” the reward, the reward will automatically be collected upon completing the next Battle Pass daily challenge.

GAMEPLAY

  • Fixed an issue which caused crafting to fail even when there was space in your inventory.

HEROES

  • Fixed an issue that caused Ninja smoke bombs to heal players even when the “Medicinal Fumes” perk wasn’t unlocked.
  • The BASE MD perk now heals all allies on affected floors, and the perk properly applies only to the BASE placed by the Constructor.
  • The Energized support perk now properly increases the damage of energy attacks.
    • Known Issue: This perk is still failing to boost abilities like Shock Tower and BASE that spawn an object that deals energy damage.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from receiving the Raider Nomad hero from the collection book.
    • Players will be granted this hero automatically if they have reached Collection Book level 100.

MISSIONS

  • The “Winter’s Chill”, “Cold as Ice” and “Deep Freeze” quests specify that you and your team must complete a 7-day 15 zone survival mission. These quests could unintentionally be completed by finishing a 3-day 15, 40 or 70 zone survival mission.
  • Fixed an issue that would award large amounts of seasonal gold even when failing an Evacuate the Shelter mission.

FORTNITE UPDATE 1.33 adds New Holiday Heroes, Weapons & more

Fortnite update 1.33 for PS4 and Xbox One is now available for download. According to the Fortnite 1.33 patch notes, the update comes a new Winter Event for Save the World, featuring global inventory, a new questline, holiday heroes, weapons, and an event currency store. The new Fortnite Winter Update also adds a new Winter survival map, with festive trees, snow and a mountain vista. In addition, Fortnite version 1.33 has added support for 21:9 displays and more ultrawide resolutions.

    • Reduced from 0.4 to 0.2 seconds.
    • This will reduce the chance that players will misfire the weapon.
  • Fortnite 1.33 updated the icon for the standard grenade.

Bug Fixes

  • Removed controller aim assist slow while scoped.
    • This will make it easier to use sniper rifles with a controller.
  • Pump Shotgun now correctly queues shots the same as all other weapons, reducing chances of an accidental extra shot being fired.
  • Sniper rifle projectiles no longer pass through other players under non-ideal network conditions.
  • Hit impacts from a sniper rifle play on the correct location of the enemy player now.
  • According to the Fortnite update PS4 patch notes, the new Fortnite update 1.33 addressed an issue that allowed bullets to pass through player built pyramid structures.
  • Fortnite version 1.33 fixed issue causing smoke beams to not play when weapons were fired.

  • Improved the game mode selection flow and UI.
    • This should make it much easier to select a game mode with a controller.

  • With the end of the Mutant Storms event, every 1,000 unspent Storm Tickets will be converted to a storm llama that will be available in their loot tab. All other unspent tickets will be lost after this event is over.
  • Mini-Boss
    • These are super-tough versions of the Husk, Husky, and Smasher that have up to four randomized gameplay modifiers attached.
    • Mini-Bosses can appear in many different mission types, indicated by new Mini-Boss Mission Alerts that appear on the theater map.
      • These new Mission Alerts reward event tickets and up to 10 can be completed each day.
      • Note that while Mutant Storms are also present on the map to provide evolution materials, these do not reward event tickets.
    • Mini-Bosses will also appear in the updated Survival mode, detailed below.
    • There is a new repeatable quest that gives Seasonal Gold each time you manage to take out a Mini-Boss in a successful mission.
    • Look for this feature to expand in the future!
  • Survive the Storm
    • New improved Survive the Storm mode:
      • Fortnite version 1.33 adds new Winter survival map, with festive trees, snow and a mountain vista.
      • Players now have the ability to skip the day by voting.
      • There are now two versions of Survival: 3-day and 7-day.
        • No voting to extend, just show up prepared to fight!
      • New generators
        • Vindertech upgraded the traditional generators. They are more resilient but cannot be fixed in the field.
        • Generator placement spots differ from game to game.

        • Expect a Mini-Boss to drop in the fight on days 3 and 7.

EVENT STORE

  • Fortnite 1.33 adds an all-new store with items available to purchase using in-game currency! This store has two sections:
    • The Event section has items available for the current major event!
    • The Weekly section has new items to check out every week.
    • These items can be purchased with new currencies: Seasonal Gold and Daily Coins.
    • Seasonal Gold can be earned by playing any mission. Drop rate scales with difficulty.
    • Daily Coins are earned by completing Daily Quests in Fortnite update 1.33.

GAMEPLAY

Access Your Backpack and Storage before loading into the world!

  • With Fortnite update 1.33, Players can now view and interact with their Backpack and Storm Shield Storage via the Armory screen before entering the world!
  • Use the Backpack screen to equip weapons and recycle world items.
  • Use the Storage screen to transfer items between backpack and storage.
  • No more guessing where those quest rewards landed – new item notifications will lead you to them.
  • Crafting in the frontend backpack is coming soon!
  • You can now complete up to four Mutant Storms per day for rewards.
  • The Collection Book now offers rewards up to level 350.
  • Fortnite version 1.33 removed the following mission daily quests from the daily rotation (if you are already on this mission you will still be able to complete it):
    • A Little Van That Could.
    • Gate Crasher.
    • Data Retrieval.

Bug Fixes

  • Fortnite 1.33 Winter Event addressed an issue where players could get stuck in the Save the World tutorial after playing a match of Battle Royale

HEROES

  • Raider Nomad – A new shotgun focused soldier hero. Get to level 100 in the collection book to unlock him.

Outlander Fragments

  • With Fortnite update 1.33, Outlanders now start with the ability to hold one Charge Fragment, down from two.
  • However, both TEDDY and Shock Tower now increase this Fragment capacity by one.
  • As a result Outlanders with one Fragment ability have the same capacity as before (two) while Outlanders with both TEDDY and Shock Tower can carry one extra (three).

HERO RARITY UPGRADE

  • The 2-Star Hero Evolution nodes (located in the Tier 1 skill tree page) have been updated to also include Hero Upgrades for that class. For example:
    • The ‘Unlock 2-Star Constructor Evolution’ node has now become the ‘Unlock 2-Star Constructor Evolution & Constructor Promotions’ node.
    • If you already owned one of these nodes, then you have also been granted the ability to promote that class of hero.
  • According to the Fortnite update PS4 patch notes, the new Fortnite update 1.33 added Tutorial Quest for upgrading a Hero’s rarity.
    • Granted after the Supply Run Quest in Stonewood has been completed.

BALANCE CHANGES

  • Rucksack soldier perk now grants two extra Frag Grenades, down from three.

Bug Fixes

  • ‘Adjustable Choke’ support bonus now properly modifies critical rate with shotguns.
  • Fortnite 1.33 update addressed an issue that was causing the Goin’ Commando ability to scale with both Tech and Offense. It now only scales with Tech.

MISSIONS

  • Quest Items now drop from props or enemies no matter who destroys them.
  • Storm Chest duration timer now starts when the first enemy spawns, this is fairer as it sometimes takes a couple of seconds to spawn enemies.
  • Drone Salvage mission now gives 15 more seconds to reach the site and build defenses before it crashes.
  • Drone Salvage mission now gives tiered mechanical crafting ingredients in addition to its previous rewards.

Bug Fixes

  • Fortnite 1.33 Winter Event added missing daily discovery quest updates to some parks and parking lots.
  • Fixed an issue where survivors wouldn’t spawn on Building the Relay missions.
  • Addressed an issue where The Storm Chest wouldn’t complete correctly when only one Mist Monster spawned and was eliminated.

UI

  • Characters in pregame and postgame lobbies now have a floor to stand on. No more floating!

  • Fortnite version 1.33 changed the text on the multi-Upgrade-Llama purchase options to clarify that the Llamas do not have a higher chance to upgrade than a normal Upgrade Llama does.

Bug Fixes

  • Stat comparisons have been updated to display Build Cost reductions as a positive rather than a negative.
  • When a crafting action fails, the crafting queue is cleared and the ingredient list is immediately refreshed to show refunded resources.
  • Fortnite 1.33 addressed an issue where the remaining amount of llamas wasn’t being shown to the player on the loot tab screen.
  • The Proximity Mine node description now shows “explosion radius” instead of “detonation radius”.

Fortnite Update 1.11 adds new Winter Event and more

Fortnite Update 1.11 will soon roll out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The latest v1.11 patch will begin the Season 2 for Fortnite Battle Royale and the new Battle Pass. In addition, the new “The Fortnite Guide to Holiday Survival” Winter Event for Save the World will be available, featuring global inventory, a new questline, holiday heroes, weapons, and an event currency store.

SEASON 2 BATTLE PASS – FORTNITE v1.11 BATTLE ROYALE

Now you can buy the Battle Pass to get cosmetic loot now. Play to level up your Battle Pass, unlocking 65+ rewards by the end of the season. (It typically takes 75 to 150 hours of play to get everything.) Season 2 begins on Dec. 14 and ends on Feb 20.

FORTNITE UPDATE 1.32 brings Four New Heroes – Changelog

Fortnite update 1.32 for PS4 and Xbox One is now available for download. According to the Fortnite 1.32 patch notes, there are some key Battle Royale changes to aim assist, consumable drop rates as well as bug fixes and performance improvements. Fortnite version 1.32 also includes UI changes to the inventory screen. Save the World stormchasers get access to four new heroes on Xbox One.

In addition, Fortnite Patch Notes also suggest that there are improvements for network priority for doors, which reduces the likelihood of seeing players run through a closed door. Check out more details below.

GAMEPLAY

  • Fortnite version 1.32 decreased chance of getting Bandages from Treasure Chests and Supply Drops by 35%.
  • Reduced aim assist on controllers.
    • This should make it easier to lead targets with Sniper Rifles.
    • The updated aim assist system allows us to iterate easily. Let us know how you think we can improve aim assist.

Bug Fixes

  • Improved network priority for doors, which reduces the likelihood of seeing players run through a closed door.
  • Fortnite update 1.32 improved network priority for chests, which reduces the likelihood of them appearing to remain closed for a short time after opening them.
  • Players will no longer fall through the world if they are eliminated while jumping.
  • Gliders will no longer deploy if a player uses a Launch Pad in the DBNO state.
  • Player will no longer jitter while falling and skydiving.
  • Dancing no longer goes on cooldown if it fails to play.
  • Chests in attics no will longer spawn loot on roofs or outside walls.
  • Fixed an issue which caused players to sometimes survive fatal fall damage with 1 HP.

WEAPONS

  • Fortnite 1.32 removed tracers from the silenced SMG.
  • Sniper Rifles no longer reload while in scoped view.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue which prevented grenades from exploding.
  • Fortnite 1.32 addressed an issue which caused crosshairs to disappear if a Sniper Rifle was fired right before the Battle Bus took off.
  • Fixed several issues with the Smoke Grenade effect:
    • Smoke effects now appear the same in and out of the Storm.
    • Players can no longer see through smoke effects when using a scope from within the smoke.
    • Players will no longer experience a “flash” effect when multiple smoke grenades go off at once.

AUDIO

  • Reduced volume for ambient trap sounds, and made them less frequent.
  • Added a new warning sound that activates when a player approaches a ceiling or wall trap.
  • Teammate footsteps now sound quieter than enemies.
  • If you are spectating a player, their footsteps are quieter.
  • Fortnite version 1.32 added different footstep sounds for wood, stone, metal, and dirt/grass surfaces.
  • It’s now easier to hear footsteps through walls.
  • Added “terminal velocity” wind sound when falling from large heights, and impact/pain sounds for when taking damage from falling.
  • Increased the audio range for the sniper gunshot from 180m to 250m.
  • Reduced gunshot sound volume for tactical shotguns. (Does not affect audio range)
  • Fortnite update 1.32 reduced volume of revolver equip/reload/fire sounds.
  • New sounds for Medkit, Shield Potion, and Slurp Juice consumables.
  • It is now easier to hear the sound of an another player gliding towards you after using a Launch Pad.
  • All audio for the dance emote is now adjusted with the SFX slider instead of Music.
  • Wind volume reacts more dynamically while skydiving or using a glider/umbrella.
  • Removed low-frequency content in the “ticking clock” sound that plays prior to the storm eye shrinking.
    • These frequencies could have previously been mistaken for footsteps while running.

PERFORMANCE

  • Improved general framerate when multiple characters are nearby.
  • Fortnite 1.32 has improved server performance by reducing the number of redundant movement events sent from clients.
  • Improved Xbox One rendering by reducing CPU stalls.

UI

  • You can now view your personal stats and XP gained at the end of a match or when spectating.
  • You can now choose to abandon one of your Daily Challenges each day.
  • Added “Net Debug Stats” panel to the Battle Royale UI.
    • This can be enabled by going to Settings > Game > HUD > Net Debug Stats
    • This setting displays ping, bandwidth, packets per second, and packet loss for both uploading and downloading.
    • If you haven’t received a packet from the server in more than 1 second, the UI will also display a “Connection Lost” warning.
    • Currently this is only available on Windows and Mac platforms, but we hope to enable it on consoles in a future update!
  • Added the option to send a friend invite to squadmates on the Spectator and Victory screens (PC/Mac only.)
  • Fortnite 1.32 added some look-and-feel polish to the matchmaking buttons.
  • Added a warning message that activates when players attempt to disguise themselves as a bush while already disguised.
  • Replaced the 60-second warm up timer with “Waiting for Players”
  • Increased the size of the large map so it takes up more screen space when open.
  • The revive timer now shows the revive progress for both keyboard and controller players

SAVE THE WORLD Changes in Fortnite version 1.32

  • Xbox One Exclusive Heroes
    • Xbox Exclusive heros are granted to all players who have purchased a Founders Pack on Xbox.
    • Players will receive all 4 exclusive heroes after completing the quest “Loot Llamas”. This is the same point most other Founders items are granted.
    • Players who have already completed the quest will receive each heroes as they login.
  • Heroes:
    • Soldier: Commando Renegade
    • Constructor: Guardian Knox
    • Ninja: Jade Assassin Sarah
    • Outlander: Trailblazer Jess

GAMEPLAY

  • Fortnite 1.32 increased effective range of the Vindertech Scoped Handcannon from 7.5 to 8 tiles, decreased damage from 62 to 56 and impact from 100 to 90 to rebalance accordingly.
  • The “Head Explosion” alteration now scales up with the player’s Tech attribute and Hero Level, rather than dealing a flat percentage of the player’s weapon damage.

Bug Fixes

  • Using the incorrect resource type when trying to build a blueprint (such as “Build the Radar Towers”) will now properly show as red instead of blue.
  • Vindertech weapons will use Crystal Energy and Ore Energy recipes as intended in the Crafting Recipes sheet.
  • All recycled world items will now be removed from your inventory before the resulting items are added, reducing the chance of overflow dropping items on the ground.
  • Tracks in “Deliver the Bomb” can now be placed where quest props or Outlander Fragments are.
    • The cart will now pass through quest props and Outlander fragments so they won’t block players from using more direct routes.
  • Added the missing quest update from a Durrrburger restaurant in the city.
  • Picking up multiple items at once will no longer cause items to stretch into the player’s backpack and hang around for long periods.
  • Vindertech weapons no longer give Blast Powder when disassembled.
  • Legendary Hydraulic Hammers and Spears now correctly use Legendary level crafting requirements instead of Epic level crafting requirements.
  • Fortnite version 1.32 addressed an issue which caused items that are picked up to fall off the map and be destroyed.
    • Instead of being destroyed, they will be transported to their owner (if there is one) or to the closest player.
  • Fortnite 1.32 fixed an issue which caused Floor Healing Traps to not take up inventory space.
  • Fortnite update 1.10 addressed an issue which resulted in transformation keys turning into a different item than intended.

  • Added 5 new daily discovery quests. Explore the zones to find specific locations.

    • Players can now build around the crash site before it lands. The structures will take damage, so plan wisely.
  • Fortnite 1.32 added new map icons have been added for all secondary activities to make it easier to locate the activities you want to play.
  • You now only need to find missing modules during “Repair the Shelter” missions.
  • Mutant Storm Mission Alerts no longer spread. Instead, the number of Mission Alerts available at a time are set to a fixed target number.

  • Clarified the pickup interact failure reason for M80s and bottle rockets, which are limited to a single stack in the backpack.
