The First Descendant update is now available to download on PC. According to the official The First Descendant patch notes, the latest update addresses some bugs and crashes.
Previously, a major update added new changes, fixes, and gameplay improvements.
Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues since the release. Today’s The First Descendant version will fix a few of these issues.

The First Descendant Patch Notes – Feb. 6, 2025
■ The issue where the image of Hagios Sheepdog is not displayed in the Shop > Fellow menu
- Only the image of the Hagios Sheepdog is not displayed, but the product can still be purchased normally.
■ Freyna’s Exclusive Quest Icon Appearing for Other Descendants
- Freyna’s exclusive quest cannot be played with other Descendants and can only be progressed with Freyna or Ultimate Freyna.
■ Support Request Mission Not Disappearing from the Support Request Board After Abandonment
■ The issue where the purification score of elite monsters is applied twice in Void Erosion Purge stages 21, 24, and 27
- In Void Erosion Purge stages 21, 24, and 27, the purification score of elite monsters is applied twice, causing you to achieve 100% purification without defeating some monsters.
[Previous Known Issues]
■ Issue where random mission icons occasionally appear in the top-left corner of the radar UI during field transitions.
■ The issue where the Award names ‘Acquire Ines’ and ‘Reach Ines Level’ are displayed in English instead of the appropriate language, except for Korean.
■ The issue where the Fire Rate option of the Tactical Augmentation Core (Tactical Rifle) is not applied under certain circumstances.
- In Update 1.2.4, the Fire Rate option has been temporarily removed when equipping the Tactical Augmentation Core (Tactical Rifle).
- This will be improved in the future to allow players to obtain the Fire Rate option once the issue is resolved.
■ [PS][XBOX] Display of the Top Menu When Clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ Buttons to Navigate to the Homepage
- On the ‘PS’ and ‘XBOX’ platforms, clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ buttons to navigate to the homepage results in the top menu being displayed.
- Please note that, while navigation to other pages within the homepage is possible, actions such as ‘Login,’ ‘Start Game,’ and ‘Enter Coupon’ cannot be performed due to this issue.
■ ‘Sigvore’s Proof’ Item Progress Not Applying in Access Info.
- There is an issue where the progress for the ‘Sigvore’s Proof’ item is not being applied in the Access Info.
■ [English] Mislabeling of Skin Set for male Descendant as “Unisex” in the Store
- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in January 2025. Players who purchased the skin due to this mislabeling can request a refund.
- Details on how to request a refund will be provided in the future “Known Issues” notice when the fix is implemented.
■ [PS5] Voice Chat Issue When Creating a Party on PS4 Platform
- It has been identified that voice chat does not function properly when creating a party on the PS4 platform.
■ Intel CPU Issue.
- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating ‘Out of video memory’ when launched.
This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.
- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel’s official response for your reference.
■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs
- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.
(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.
(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.
■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly
- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.
