Thriving City: Song update 1.2.1 is now rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Thriving City: Song patch notes, the latest update 1.2.1 added quality of life improvements and gameplay optimizations.

- Reworked warehouse system – removing the cumbersome supply-demand hauling mechanic.
- Removed landlords from all residential buildings, increasing each citizen’s productivity and improving city efficiency.
- Adjusted resource consumption logic for all housing, making resource usage more efficient and giving players more flexibility in resource management.
- Optimized worker allocations across all existing buildings.
- Redesigned happiness-related mechanics, allowing for more flexibility in managing population and resources.
- Revamped commercial building buffs, removing strict combo requirements and offering more freedom in building layout.
- Improved visual effects for water and fog.
- Updated builder hauling logic and adjusted build time mechanics to fix the frustrating “construction lock” experience.
- Rebuilt hunting mechanics and improved wildlife generation, which is expected to enhance performance and reduce lag.
