Verizon is now rolling out a new software update G900VVRU2DQF2 for Galaxy Note 4 and update N910VVRS2CQE for Galaxy Note 4 Edge smartphones in the US. Samsung Galaxy S5 is also receiving update N915VVRU2CQF2. The update comes with Android July security patch.
The Android July security patch fixes a total of 65 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the open-source Android OS. There are 16 additional patches designed specifically for Galaxy-branded smartphones. In addition, the update includes bug fixes and other improvements for the devices.
The ring-back tone issue for non-Verizon phone calls has now been fixed with the update. It also fixes the issue where some of the users couldn’t make calls to non-Verizon customers.
