During Build 2016, Microsoft unveiled Win32 programs to UWP App converter. The Desktop App Converter serves as a bridging tool between Win32 apps and Universal Windows Apps, in much the same way that Project Islandwood does for iOS apps.
First of all it allows you to have access to the new Store as we have seen with some games the likes of Tomb Raider and Quantum Break. This new possibility is certainly one of the greatest opportunities for developers and that affects tens of millions of programs and applications so far relegated to the PC.
