New rumors suggest that Google is dropping the Nexus brand name. Google may use a different name for upcoming HTC-made google smartphones. There is good chance that google may use “G” logo instead of Nexus. There are two upcoming devices code-named “Marlin” and “Sailfish” may use new “G” logo.
Google may also avoid stock android and install a special version of Android Nougat on upcoming phones. HTC-made google smartphones will come in 5-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, representing a small downsize from the current 5X and 6P.
