Google could soon allow Android Apps on Chrome OS

Google could soon allow Android Apps on Chrome OS. Some Chromebook users are already being shown the new option. The appearance of the setting doesn’t come as much of a surprise given that Google has spent the past couple of years bringing Android and Chrome OS closer together.

At the end of 2015, there was a report that Google would combine the two operating systems as early as this year. Google may simply integrate the useful features from each OS much like Microsoft did with Windows 10. Some rumors also say that Google may allow installing Android apps on Windows 10.

Google is scheduled to hold its developer conference I/O 2016 in mid-May. It’s possible we will learn more about their Android-Chrome OS plans.
