Researchers at MIT CSAIL and Israel’s Weizmann Institute for Science finally come up with their Cinema 3D tech which can create multiple parallax barriers in a single display. New tech uses lenses and mirrors to deliver a range of angles across the whole theater without losing resolution.
The prototype uses 50 lens/mirror combos to achieve its 3D effect. It might be expensive as you’d need a far bigger and more complicated system to make it work at the local movie theaters. But in future, we can expect optimized version might spare you from 3d glasses.
