No more Microsoft TechRewards from next year

Microsoft has announced that the company is ending its TechRewards program starting next year. Microsoft TechRewards (DVLUP) offer deals for software developers and IT professionals. According to the company, there are other Microsoft programs that can “best support users in their technical journey.”  The company is requesting users to redeem all of their points from the Rewards Catalogue on TechRewards.

As a valuable member of Microsoft TechRewards, we are notifying you of an important change to the program. Microsoft TechRewards will close on January 6, 2017. The program aimed to help Developers and IT Professionals learn, experiment, and build projects with Microsoft technologies. We believe other Microsoft Programs more closely associated with products and services can best support users in their technical journey.

Effective October 6, 2016, all current Challenges will be removed from the site. Points (PTS), Experience Points (XP), and Badges will no longer be awarded. Please be sure to redeem your Points via the Rewards Catalogue and save your Badges by 11:59 PM PST on January 6, 2017.
