A new Nuclear Nightmare update released on PC. According to the official Nuclear Nightmare patch notes, the latest update addresses some bugs and crashes.
Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Nuclear Nightmare patch will fix a few of these issues.

Nuclear Nightmare Patch Notes – Jan. 24, 2025
– Overview
- New mimic enemy.
- New weapon, the MP5!
- New vehicle. The Snowcat, granted by the AISF.
- New helicopter model.
- Randomized objectives.
- Barricade item.
- Movable lasers.
️ – Fixes
- Certain audio not working with volume sliders.
- Bullets can no longer kill their producer.
- Improved crosshair that shows where your bullet will land.
- Creatures have been gene spliced to remove invisibility.
- Fixed an issue where you would be unable to interact with objects that take time to complete (like generators).
- The helicopter no longer slides.
- Perk machine should no longer soft-lock players.
- Perk machine will allow a re-roll if cut by power.
- Perk machine no longer displays “re-roll” if you do not have enough perks equipped to re-roll.
- Perk machine infinite re-roll glitch. (cheaters.)
- Perk text improvements.
- Windows and other glass materials no longer visible through fog.
- Ammo boxes have been optimized from 50k polygons to 50.
- Laser keyboard sound issues.
- Addressed music overlap and music persisting after enemy death.
- SIGNIFICANT AI optimizations (10x in some cases).
- Vehicles now teleport you outside the door when leaving, as opposed to clipping you inside.
- Rare issue where players could not use the laptop after respawning.
- Fixed an occasional issue where the perk save file could get corrupted.
⬆️ – Changes and Additions
- The sniper scope now uses your screen, increasing performance greatly.
- Added new damage framework internally, allowing us to make objects do things when hit with ease.
- Lasers are based on distance for length.
- Red canisters can now be shot to explode.
- The generator can be turned off with a pickaxe.
- More UI improvements, should scale properly on larger screens.
- Dead AI’s should no longer function after 60 seconds.
- Extraction has been improved.
- Upon being called, the helicopter has a 60 second “landing period”
- After this landing period, the helicopter waits for 5 minutes.
- If half the researchers enter the circle in this 5 minute, the timer goes to one minute.
- At the end of the minute, all researchers who are outside the circle will not evacuate.
- Nightmare detector has been changed to pair with the Motion Detector
- When the motion detector senses an enemy, it displays the enemy with x-ray.
- The x-ray view only lasts as long as the beep lasts.
- The beeper does not work when holstered.
