Lenovo may have leaked the official release date of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. The company made its revelations on its Miix 520 product page.
The company posted in its press release that the Miix 520 is a professional two-in-one PC with support for far-field, standby Cortana recognition, a feature which requires Windows 10 Fall Creators Update which will automatically update starting October 17, 2017. A 2D/3D WorldView camera included in the tablet also requires the Windows 10 FCU.
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will release with mixed-reality hardware support. However, three HMDs from Asus, Dell, and Lenovo will also ship in October. This may be one of the reasons behind the delay.
Microsoft will release the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update to Insiders a week or two before the official roll out to consumers. Microsoft then rolls out the official release in waves, usually to the most modern PCs first.
