Xiaomi has confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat update is coming to Mi devices. Recently, company’s representative confirmed this news on Weibo post.
Currently, Xiaomi is planning to release Android 7.0 Nougat update to Mi 4c, Mi 4s, Mi Note, and Mi Max. Right now, There’s no information about the release date of the update. But according to the reports, it might happen sometime in the first quarter of 2017. Mi 5s, Mi Note 2, Mi Mix will also in line to receive the update.
Last week, the company released the official Nougat update to the Mi5 smartphone. The Mi5 also got the latest Android 7.1.1 update thanks to CyanogenMod 14. There was no mention of when or if the Redmi series would get the Nougat update.
