A new SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed update patch notes are released for players. Since the last major update, players have been experiencing multiple issues and bugs Hopefully, today’s SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed update will address some of these issues and bugs.

SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed Patch Notes- September 18, 2026
Outline Customization:
- Added option to customize Outline Color: Max Contrast (Current Default), and Player HUD (outline color based on the player HUD color)
- Added option to customize Online Outline: Only Me (show only my outline), All Players (show all players’ outlines)
- Added option to customize the Opponents Outline color in online gameplay: Default (based on the Outline Color option), All Red (show all opponents in a red outline)
🏃Plasma Blaster balancing:
- Made it easier to dodge (like the Golden Hook).
- Reduced stun time.
- Reduced the knockback amount when hit.
🏃Freeze Ray balancing:
- Reduced the freeze time duration.
🏃8 player mode:
- Increased matchmaking time to wait for more players.
🏃Added a warning “!” icon indicator when players are close to being KO’d by the blast zone.
🏃Added a blinking animation on the boost bar when being used.
🏃Added the tutorial incentive prompt asking players to play the tutorial first if they wanted, when attempting to play any game mode.
🏃Improved the visual representation of the max players allowed in a custom lobby when there are bots added.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed Report Tool soft-locking players when used in the middle of a match.
- Fixed the Edit Controls button not working with the keyboard.
- Fixed V-Sync option capping to 60 fps on game launch, when the setting is off.
- Fixed Bots not using the Drill item enough.
- Fixed low-res image for the stages selected by other players online.
- Fixed low-res Start button on local character select.
