Dread Dawn update is now rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Dread Dawn patch notes, the latest update added quality of life improvements and gameplay optimizations.
Since the last patch, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Dread Dawn patch will fix a few of these issues.

Dread Dawn Patch Notes – October 8, 2024
- New: In Survival Mode, players can now farm in more locations (using seeds will automatically navigate to nearby plantable areas).
- Increased: The level cap has been raised, unlocking more growth potential for characters.
- Improved: Added clearer prompts after completing the main storyline to help players track their progress.
- Fixed: Issues with chapter selection, improving the overall game experience.
- Removed: The notification for using charcoal powder at campfires, streamlining the interface.
- Resolved: Fixed crash issues on certain PCs during the “Rescue the Professor” mission.
- Fixed: An issue where weapon durability would suddenly drop when selling items.
