A new Going Medieval update 0.28.16 released on PC. According to the official Going Medieval patch notes, the latest update 0.28.16 addresses some bugs and crashes.
Since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Going Medieval patch 0.28.16 will fix a few of these issues.

Quality of life improvements
- Arrow for collapsing / expanding save folders has been added in the save/load menu.
- Added an option to disable hover highlighting (like when you would hover over trees), to reduce seizures. You can control this via Options > Game > Hover Intensity.
- Added options to choose a specific tree phase when using chop order. Yup. It’s finally here.
- Updated Steam SDK – modders are now able to set which version their mod supports. Go to your mod and open Change Notes. There you’ll see the “Link to Game Version” option.

Bugs and fixes
- Fixed the issue that prevented archers from attacking if they were positioned atop ladders.
- Fixed the issue where settlers would not continue digging adjacent tiles after breaking a block.
- Fixed the issue where attacking an aggressive animal during an event would make the settler run away instead of attacking.
- Fixed the issue where settlers wouldn’t sow plants and trees after the first year.
- Fixed the issue where settlers would not change clothes when they were supposed to, after the first year.
- Fixed the issue where clicking on the enemy link in the Full Log would trigger connection error.
- Fixed the issue where the scrollbar would not appear on the biography tab of the extra panel when selecting a settler with filled info.
- Fixed several issues related to ladders and pathfinding.
Known issues:
- The martial training event has a praying animation when settlers are attending the event.
- Some event portrait images will be the sad cat graphics as they are placeholder and will be replaced.If your settlers are experiencing weird animations with some actions, be sure to turn off V-sync and cap the game’s FPS in the game’s options. Cap it to 60fps. If the issue persists, cap it at 30.
- Assigned Pets don’t sleep with owners.
- Some text keys are still not translated.
- Player-triggered events don’t have sound effects
- Settlers will not refuel torches if there is no floor/ground beneath them.
- Settlers will not choose the closest production building (if there are more of the same type), but the one that has a production set first in the global list of productions.
