A new Night Raider update 1.40 patch notes are released for players. Since the last major update, players have been experiencing multiple issues and bugs Hopefully, today’s Night Raider update 1.40 will address some of these issues and bugs.

Night Raider Patch 1.40 Notes – June 17, 2024
New Map:
- Daybreak level
New Special Building:
- Prison (appears on Daybreak difficulty)
New Bosses:
- Governor (appears in prison, drops Warden Key Card with low probability)
- Headless Zombie (appears near prison, cannot be killed, best to avoid)
New Enemies:
- 12 new types of zombies
- 1 new human enemy
New Mechanic:
- Shielded enemies: immune to bullets, vulnerable to explosives. Still take damage from status effects (burning etc.)
New System:
- Crisis Warning: difficulty selection shows maps in crisis with enemy stat boost information.
Weather System Additions:
- Radiation Rain: increases radiation outdoors.
- Snow: lowers temperature everywhere.
- Hot Sand: increases temperature everywhere.
- Toxic Haze: poisons players continuously.

New Items:
- Warden Key Card: opens prison safe room.
- Prison Intelligence Files: challenges Dawn difficulty (crafted or rare airdrop in Hellish difficulty).
New Vehicles:
- Ambulances (contain medical supplies and protective clothing).
- Heavy trucks (including military variants) contain rare military and biological protective clothing.
Military Vehicle & Hospital additions:
- Military vehicles drop rare military protective clothing.
- Hospital wardrobes have rare medical protective clothing.
- Computer shops sell fire protective clothing.
Daybreak Difficulty Changes:
- Guaranteed spawns of Bosses: Ghost, Overlord, Annihilator.
- Ghost Boss has extremely rare Ghillie Suit drop.
Other Changes:
- Increased size of most special storage containers.
- Composite Bulletproof Pad: improved armor, reduced deceleration and some crit resistance.
- Radiation drugs directly reduce radiation levels.
- Lights slightly increase base exposure.
- Weapon spotlights attract human enemies, not zombies.
- Fixed bug where dizzy zombies could scratch players.
