A new The Long Drive update 2024.09.25_test patch notes are released for players. Since the last major update, players have been experiencing multiple issues and bugs Hopefully, today’s The Long Drive update 2024.09.25_test will address some of these issues and bugs.

The Long Drive Patch 2024.09.25_test Notes – September 26, 2024
- Some changes since v2023.04.19c may be gone 🙁
- New terrain generator
- Multiplayer greatly improved
- Added Developer Mode in Settings in Misc tab
- Can change maps (Default, Test, FPS Dungeon…)
- Can load BSP maps (put them and wad files in Documents\TheLongDrive\Maps)
- Can load map from height maps from .png and .jpg formats
(height map’s name should end with _height)
(color map’s name should end with _color)
(put height map and texture map in Documents\TheLongDrive\Maps) - Using E+Mouse to tune no longer stops if the knob moves out of the crosshair
- Added lightbulb items
- Lights paintable
- Added big mirrors
- Better VR
- Can Toggle VR (In Misc Settings)
- Ignition/start and horn have now trigger,
so you can look at them and press the use key to use them - Changed stuff “under the hood”
- Some stuff gets sliced on destroy instead of just disappearing
- Fixed chocolate collider scale
- Changed Discord Server Link
- Changed headlight cookie
- New radio content
- New magazines
- New voices for Munkas
Known issues:
- In multiplayer: If someone is sitting next to you in the front right seat, you may not be able to start or stop the car’s engine. The error does not exist if your companion moves to another seat or gets out. (This bug is being fixed)
- It is possible that the terrain is generated beyond the realistic limits. It is still heavily under development.
- There are currently no cellars or basements in any of the buildings.
- There are currently no cactus and electric poles.
- Dont save when you sit in a vehicle because it cause some error.
- After this update or later hotfixes, old saves and mods may become unusable in beta.
