Total War: WARHAMMER III Update 7.1 Patch Notes – Feb. 10, 2026

Total War: WARHAMMER III update 7.1 is now available to download on PC. According to the official Total War: WARHAMMER III patch notes, the latest update 7.1 addresses some bugs and crashes.

Previously, a major update 7.1 added new changes, fixes, and gameplay improvements.

Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues since the release. Today’s Total War: WARHAMMER III version 7.1 will fix a few of these issues.

Total War: WARHAMMER III Patch Notes 7.1- February 10, 2026

General

  • Added various missing translations.
  • Fixed a multiplayer crash when starting a game with Dwarf factions.
  • Fixed an issue where Daemonic Steed mounts would not be available to characters when playing with one of the Chaos Warriors factions.
  • Saved versions of Dechala, Styrkaar and Beorg Bearstruck should no longer be available for loading in a campaign.
  • Fixed an issue where Vivifying Swelter trait was affecting only the character, not the whole army.
  • Fixed an issue where rushing a building while opening Diplomacy could hardlock the game. The Rush button is now ignored if the Diplomacy panel has already been triggered.
  • Fixed an issue where the character entering the region does not update the effects provided by the buildings in that region which require the character’s presence.
  • Fixed a bug where an army’s movement could be fully restored if the player depleted its movement, began local recruitment, then saved and loaded the game before cancelling the recruitment.

Beastmen

  • Fixed an issue where the Cockatrice was missing for recruitment on the Shaman’s Pyre building chain.

Dark Elves

  • Added more Followers, available to other Dark Elf heroes, to be available for the Druchii Anointed as well.
  • Fixed an issue where Druchii Anointed hero could not equip its own mounts when recruited by the Cult of Pleasure.
  • Fixed a bug for the Winds of Magic Power reserve bar not showing up for Lokhir.

High Elves

  • Fixed a bug where Imrik’s dragon encounters fail to spawn.
  • Dragonships should now properly replenish their units when in Dragonship Expansion stance.
  • Fixed an issue where the Company of the Kalendirian unit does not have the Naval Discipline ability.
  • Fixed an issue where Patronage Capacity would sometimes not be displayed correctly in the Patrons of the Realms panel when loading saves created before patch 7.0.0.
  • Fixed an issue where the required level of Favour of the Phoenix King for confederating other major High Elf factions would sometimes not be shown correctly in the Patrons of the Realms panel.
  • Fixed an issue where the Blades of Hoeth RoR unit was not affected by the Immovable Force skill.
  • Fixed an issue where Aislinn’s multiplayer co‑op partner could not join their side when taking control of a garrison. They now receive the correct option to fight alongside them rather than only spectate or control the enemy.
  • The final Dragonship Admiral for the High Elf Sea Patrol should no longer be able to put points in all three Dedication skills.
  • When playing with Aislinn, the dilemma option “Request Courtly Support” in the dilemma “Tyrion’s Intervention” should no longer grant more than 1 rank to Lords and Heroes.
  • All of the buildings unlocked through Asur Domination should now properly display a button linking to the appropriate Asur Domination initiative. Asur Domination initiatives should now properly display all buildings they unlock, instead of just some of them. Note that this change will not affect saved games, only new campaigns started with the High Elf Sea Patrol.
  • Fixed a crash that would sometimes happen when opening the Patrons of Ulthuan panel.

Norsca

  • Beorg Bearstruck’s anti-infantry use marked to be consistent with his Damage profile.
  • Fixed a bug where Altar of The Eagle grants infinite research.
  • Fixed a bug with Throgg’s legendary hero missions.
  • The Norsca technology The Fourfold Voice should no longer display the affected unit’s cards multiple times. In addition, this technology should now also apply to spellcaster characters gained through Allegiance to the Gods or Confederation.
  • The Kurgan Horsemen units should now properly receive the Physical Resistance bonus from the Norscan technology Champions of War.
  • Monstrous Arcanum markers should no longer spawn right next to settlements.
  • Improved enemy behaviour from second-stage Monstrous Arcanum hunts to reduce the amount they will no longer retreat after surviving a defeat.

Nurgle

  • The technology Giant Manacles for The Fecundites should now also affect Plague Ogres and Plague Ogres (Great Weapons).
  • The technology Hideous Amputations for The Fecundites should now also affect Plague Ogres (Great Weapons).
  • Fixed an issue where Ketzak Fimdirach (Tamurkhan’s) Balefiend chieftain was missing some of his original skills. Fimdirach now benefits from the new Balefiend skills introduced in the Norsca update.

Ogres

  • Settlements gifted to Skaven factions should now have their owner revealed right away, instead of showing as Ruins.
  • Fixed an issue where the dilemma to Confederate another Ogre Kingdoms faction would not trigger after defeating their leader when playing as The Maneaters if that faction was currently a target of an active War Contract.

Skaven

  • Fixed Clan Eshin’s Plunge Into Anarchy action not working on factions that possess no settlements.
  • Fixed crash when the player tries to activate an Eshin Action twice.

Slaanesh

  • Fixed an issue so that Eternal Dance’s active effects are no longer re-applied after switching back to the original dance.
  • Fixed an issue so that when playing as the Masque of Slaanesh, switching the dance back to a previously completed one will now reset all choices that have been selected for that dance. Choices that have been recorded to the Repertoire can be loaded from there.
  • Fixed an issue where some characters on Daemonic Steed weren’t consistent with their physical and missile resistance.
  • Common Lords and Heroes should no longer be able to spawn with the names Styrkaar or Masque of Slaanesh.
  • The building slots unlocked by the Pleasure Palace main building were slightly adjusted. The new building slot count for the 5 levels of Pleasure Palace is now 3/4/5/6/7.
  • When playing with Dechala, the red skill lines of Chaos Lords and Chaos Sorcerers should now properly apply their benefits to daemons recruited through Daemonic Attraction.
  • The effect granting Local recruitment capacity in the building Warhowl Barrow has had its scope changed so it should now provide its benefit as intended.
  • The Slaaneshi technologies Marvelous Executioners, Mortal Obsession and Blasphemous Promises should now provide their benefits to Forsaken of Slaanesh units.
  • The skill Mistress of Disciples should no longer grant a boost to Disciple Armies when playing as Dechala. Instead, it should now boost the army’s Thrall income from battles.
  • Fixed an issue where converting a Thrall Camp to a Tormentor’s Hold would sometimes not drop the main building level in the settlement by one level.
  • Pre-battle screen: The marks of cruelty purchase button’s cost will now turn red when running out of decadence.

Warriors of Chaos

  • Fixed an issue preventing Warriors of Chaos AI from properly evaluating and constructing a number of buildings.
  • All Warriors of Chaos factions should now have access to the RoR unit Bloodshriek Chimera.
  • Fixed the Curser’s Boon not spawning a rift in some provinces (Cathayan Hinterlands and Mountains End).
  • Fixed an issue where Chaos Sorcerer Lords of Slaanesh would not be able to use mounts when recruited via the Path of Glory.
  • Fixed the placeholder tooltip for special phase abilities not appearing properly.
  • Fixed an issue where the effect from “The Gift of Choice” from “The Infected Eye Opens!” dilemma for Festus would also reduce the unlock cost for Gifts of Chaos instead of only reducing the activation cost for already unlocked ones.

Tzeentch

  • Fixed a crash when using Tzeentch’s Spawnify ability on a rebel army.
  • Fixed a problem where a settlement can show only the Symbolic or the building chains where a building of one chain has already been built, even though the player could switch to the other chain.

Prologue

  • Fixed a bug so that if Yuri is in wounded state the scripted tour will trigger for the faction capital on how to Recruit a general.
  • Fixed a bug with missing image on FR localisation in Prologue campaign’s tutorial, when showing “camera move” part of it on 2nd turn.
  • Fixed an issue in prologue where the “Mount Gained” notification for Boyars could display a placeholder unit card and omit the Boyar’s name.

Items & Ancillaries

  • Fixed the HP property from equipping ancillaries not being updated properly.
  • Fixed Ancillary availability for Beorg Bearstruck and Styrkaar of the Sortsvinaer when used by Warriors of Chaos factions.
  • Luminark Lens now applies weakness to fire to enemy’s armies in the region accordingly.

UI

  • The Dune restoration book post-battle effect assets reworked into the Tomb Kings’ style.
  • Fixed a crash on double clicking of load lord button. This button now acts like a toggle button for opening the “Load Lord” panel.
  • Fixed the recruitment panel of saved lords not being shown correctly.
  • Fixed a wrong income percentage increase visible in tooltips of foreign slot buildings when they would not really receive such a bonus.

 

Battle

Balance Changes

Slaanesh

  • Dechala:
    • Reduced cost from 2000 to 1800.
  • Masque of Slaanesh:
    • Increased base Cost from 1500 to 1600.
    • Reduced Melee Defence from 63 to 61.
    • Reduced Damage Done by Dance of Dreaming from 12-24 to 10-20 per second.
  • Slaangors:
    • Reduced Charge Bonus from 32 to 28.
    • Reduced Melee Defence from 28 to 26.
  • Chimera:
    • Reduced projectile penetration to medium.
    • Reduced explosion DMG from 70 to 60 with 41% AP DMG.
    • Reduced Leadership by 5(includes Chimera RoR).
  • Chimera RoR:
    • Increased Cost from 1850 to 1900, upkeep from 462 to 475.
    • Reduced healing of Perfect Predator from 0.4% to 0.35% per second.
    • Changed the use Availability from “Out of melee“ to “No enemy in range“.
  • Druchii Annointed:
    • Reduced cost when on foot and on Cold one mount from 900/1100 to 850/1050 respectively.
    • Increased Physical Resistance from 5 to 20.
    • Increased num of uses of Hysterical Frenzy bound spell from 1 to 2.
  • Preyton:
    • Reduced cost from 1650 to 1600, upkeep from 416 to 400.
    • Added Unyielding Assault attribute to the Endless Malice ability.
    • Increased Hit Ignore chance from 50% to 75%.
  • Devotees of Slaanesh (Crossbows):
    • Increased ammo from 12 to 14.

Norsca

  • Dread Maw:
    • Increased Cost from 1000 to 1100.
    • Reduced Custom/Multiplayer battle limit from 2 to 1.
  • Marauder Bearmen and Beorg Bearstruck moved to extended roster for Warriors of Chaos faction.
  • Fimir Noble:
    • Reduced Cost from 1000 to 950, upkeep from 250 to 237.
    • Increased duration of Favoured by the Matriarch from 19 to 26.
    • Increased effect range of Shrouding Mists from 35 to 55 meters.
  • Riders of the Mighty Serpent:
    • Increased cost from 700 to 750, upkeep from 175 to 188.
    • Increased accuracy from 10 to 37.

High Elves

  • Aislinn:
    • Increased Number of uses of Master of mists from 1 to 2.
    • Increased Duration of Master of Mists from 24 to 36.

Beastmen

  • Beastmen cockatrice multiplayer cost reduced from 1100 to 1050 (as it was previously).

 

General

  • Fixed a visual issue on the straps of the Exalted Hero of Slaanesh’s claw.
  • Fixed an issue with ranged units rotating while firing.
  • Saved replays of settlement battles is now keeping the level of the settlement’s walls in the initial battle.
  • Nurgle’s army’s abilities now spread out to nearby friend or foe.
  • Fixed several animation tags for buildings, creatures and heroes.

Animations

  • Fixed several animation tags for creatures and heroes.
  • Additional Idle animations for characters mounted on Daemonic Steed.

Items & Abilities

  • Casting fire damage was not applying true fire damage when you have Sulfurous Reek in battles from the campaign.
  • Updated the Fire-at-will target prioritization producing more consistent shooting.
  • Fixed an issue where Quenched contact effect would not be showing an icon in the unit status window.
  • Limited Scroll of Stone to be only equipped by General units.

Units

  • Assigned Causes Fear to Chaos Sorcerers of Slaanesh to be consistent with other characters on Daemonic Steeds.
  • Assigned proper unit attributes to Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Slaanesh when on the Warshrine mount.
  • Fixed an issue where the sorcerer of Slaanesh when playing as Warriors of chaos would be unable to use the Warshrine mount.
  • Reduced Land Ship collision size so it’s easier for infantry to hit it.
  • Fixed wrong material IDs on cape edges causing black stripes in the texture.
  • Fixed a problem where the Soul Grinder of Tzeentch were not always firing when controlled by AI.
  • The aquatic bonuses are now applied to Oceanids and Sea Elemental units when there are in shallow water.
  • Fixed an issue so that shallow water debuffs affect relevant units properly.
  • Fixed colour mismatch between body and head of Oceanids.
  •  Dread Maw units can now use surface ability when part of Reinforcing Army in multiplayer.
  • Minor weight issues on the Preyton’s antlers fixed.

UI

  • Added 2D portholes for River and Stone trolls in the Norsca roster.
