Lightyear Frontier update 0.7.1961.0 is now rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Lightyear Frontier patch notes, the latest update 0.7.1961.0 added quality of life improvements and gameplay optimizations.

Lightyear Frontier Patch 0.7.1961.0 Notes – December 2, 2025
- Lowered intensity of lightning flashes and increased the time between lightning strikes
- Fixed multiplayer issue with the Egg Incubator
- Made loading of large objects much more stable
- Likely fixed hitching or freezing caused by large object collision events triggering every frame in certain situations
- Dev note: “There can still be significant performance drops when stacking many loose objects (not attached to a Mech, Construct or Trailer)“
- Adjusted some sounds related to large objects and the hauling of them
